Slickoleum is a super slick light suspension grease that greatly reduces the breakaway friction for reciprocating seals. It has a good resistance to corrosion and oxidation as well as an ability to impregnate the pores of surfaces. Slickoleum can be used across many applications and industries and excels when it comes to lubricating seals and O-rings that have linear movement.
This is the exact grease as SRAM Butter at a fraction of the price. The problem is that now I have grease for about 300 years! You can do all the bikes in your state with this tub.
I recently used Slickoleum when servicing the WP AER 48mm forks on my dirtbike. I used the Slickoleum to lubricate the oil and dust seals of both fork legs. I used it in the dampening cartridge to lubricate the internal floating piston, and in the air cartridge to lubricate the main piston and the quad rings in the screw sleeve. The breakaway stiction has been dramatically reduced and the forks work much smoother than they had before.
I put off buying this for a long time thinking that it would not make that much of a difference in places like my dropper post. I was way wrong, after using this in my dropper post, it has never been as smooth and has never extended as fast. This stuff works way better than a traditional greases in parts that move/slide. Also great on fork bushings and rear shocks. The tub is large enough to last the home mechanic for life. Do not put off buying this like I did!
Great stuff for posts, screws and such. Packaging is old fashioned 'rip your finger tips' plastic but contents work great and should last a long time!
Just like slickhoney but you get like 20x more product than those little tubes.
What can you say? It's a lifetime supply of suspension grease for the home mechanic
It's greasey grease. Works as intended.
great grease!! very slick and good consistency. used this on my dropper seat post but decided to use it on one of my firearms instead of gun grease. Love it. will use from now on
