Part of it is my fault, but it's also DC. Here's the thing. I like their shoes and have been buying them as daily kick-arounds and even work shoes for years now. For some reason they fit my flat feet well and, while they have exactly Jack-shit for arch support, do offer a level of comfort that I can't find in most other shoes. Especially for the price. The thing is, and I've been burned before by them, their sizes seem to run on the very narrow side of things for me. The size I went with usually allows for more room but for some reason, these are almost too tight.
This is a great shoe. Just like most canvas shoes, the uppers will take some breaking in before they feel really comfy, but that is to be expected. It's difficult to tell from the pictures, but this shoe really finds a nice balance between DC's old, clunky Court Graffik line of skate shoes and it's newer, slimmer casual wear shoes like the Tonik. It very much resembles the Court Graffik in terms of the lower reaching laces and tongue fit, but it is only slightly wider than the Tonik and doesn't have the Graffik's massive ankle padding. Overall a really great shoe for general wear.
they work. They look higher in the image than what I got, but I like them just the same. They are not as thick or padded as my other DCs
Great shoes. They clean up easily and are very comfortable to wear. This is the second pair of them that I have owned and may even go for a third. The Amazon fitment guide asks if they have good arch support; to be honest they really don't. Arch support shouldn't really be expected from this style of a shoe anyway. The lack of arch support does not affect my comfort in any way at all. I could wear them all day if necessary.
I love these shoes ,I already had a pair I had wore ,I got them in LA with a friend of mine that passed away. I went on the DC shoe website and this exact model was nowhere to be found ,it was like they took it down cause it was older style or something.....after a couple days of trolling the Internet I was suprised to find the Exact piar I wanted In the Rite size ,and they were The only ones left In that size it said too,I was suprised that amazon could come thru with this not so old style ,that seams to have been made vintage by the company that was producing the shoe, they aren't in 100% perfect condition but they fit fine and look to be unused.Again Suprised this site had these shoes over the company's site that actually produce the shoes.
These shoes were fairly accurate in length but were too narrow for me to wear... I have other similar shoes in same sizes/width that are fine. I wouldnt go for these unless you have pretty narrow feet. 3 stars because otherwise they are great looking and seem to be well constructed shoe of this type. Just be aware of narrow sizing issue.
great loking/made shoe as usual with dc but for some reason it was way too tight just passed the toes and hurt too bad and was not breaking in
These are alright for the price. I have worn them for about 10 miles of total walking, and they still feel to stiff and are still hard to slip on and off even when laced differently each time. Also the right shoe seems to have a slightly higher arch then the left causing it to hurt, and I've had other DC shoes before and these are the first to do that.
For the price I paid this is an awesome casual shoe. Albeit this was the first time a DC shoe hurt to break in... As I've been wearing their skate shoes for decades now... But overall for $25 I couldn't go wrong.
Not what I was expecting in comfort
Sizing is right on the money, Bought the exact shoe size I normally take and they are perfect.
Super high quality. Totally worth it!
A quality show and you can't beat that price. My teenage son loved them.
