This is a great tool, nice spring in the scissors and I am grateful that there are so many clamps and brackets to make this work with my custom setup on my BC. The downside is I dove in some turbulent water and my knife lifted from the sheathe and I almost lost it. The master diver noticed and recovered it before I even realized that it lifted. So I am on the hunt for an extendable lanyard. |
The scissor action itself seems to remove / scratch the coating on the blades. So this is definitely not naturally blackened steel. Whether or not that's possible for stainless steel, I don't know - but worth knowing that aesthetically this will probably lose the black colour pretty quickly with use. |
Absolutely the best diver's tool. Effortlessly cuts heavy line that would stop a regular dive knife or EMT shears. One-handed operation. |
Love these knives. I've used them for anything from cutting the spines off of lion fish to cutting radiator hose. Never fails to get the job done. |
High quality product that is made to last. It is the best knife/tool that I have used for line removal and reef cleanup as many traditional dive kives will not cut through line well. Just make sure you keep it clean after any use in saltwater |
Rusted after very few dives even with proper rinsing. |
this thing is a beast! YES ITS BIG, NO ITS NOT RAZOR SHARP! But like the title says its a scuba knife. the scissors are an awesome addition, great for cutting anything from rope to wire. I've had this knife for over 3 years, used it in lakes rivers open ocean and it hasn't rusted or let me down, I got exactly what I expected and I love this knife. I'd buy it again and again. |
Incredibly versatile dive multitool. Very well built. Locks into scabbard and secures very well to leg or arm. Even with thick gloves it can be unlocked from scabbard without difficulty. Everyone I dive with wants one now. |
