The Universal Scupper Plug Kit for kayaks takes all of the guessing out of finding the correct scupper plugs.
The plugs prevent all water from intruding into the kayak and will keep you dry out on the water.
The plugs will fit all holes between 3/4" of an inch and 1.5" inches.
The plugs fit well however I made the mistake of installing them in the scuppers under the seat of the sit-in kayak. I ended up with a wet rear end. The plugs seal just fine in the scupper hole however they leak through the center of the plug due to the string running through it. I went out and bought solid rubber stoppers at the hardware store in order to solve the problem of leaks. I couldn't in good conscience recommend this product.
Based on my scupper plug size, these should have worked. However, there's no give AT ALL to the material (it's basically hard plastic), so it did not mold correctly in my kayak. I'm now using squishy golf balls ("borrowed" from hubby).
I’ve used these on my Pelican kayak and they work great and have lasted for a full year and I expect them to last many years longer. I’ve tipped it and they stay in, great product
Another reviewer (I believe on a different color or version of this same product) stated that water still comes up through the string holes in these plugs and gets your butt wet. The reviewer was correct! These do not keep water out of the kayak.
This item does not fit a 3/4 inch holes on a Native Watercraft Manta Ray. It should comfortably fit and seal a 1 inch to 1 3/8 inch so beware when you order this.
it work ok on my sit-on-top kayak. however the rope is not stronger enough to keep in the plug. the rope alway comes out when i pull it to drain water.
Didnt work as well for my kayak. I was expecting a softer rubber so it would squeeze into smaller spots but what it is is actually almost a rubberized plastic. I'll keep them for my next kayak as they were a great price and worked.
Good product for the price. Water does come through the center where the pull string is attached. I will remove string eventually and add some silicone to the center.
These must be for guant kayaks...way to big for any of mine
Saying the product is universal is questionable. They were too small for my kayak.
