Perfect Apparel for Tropical Vacations, Spring Break, Summer, Beach & Pool, Cruise Resort and home clothing
I was skeptical to buy a bathing suit like this. I'm a large woman, transitioning from a 3X to a 2X as I have recently lost weight. I ordered the XXXL and they fit nicely with plenty of room. Actually, if I lose any more weight I will need the XXL These shorts will be perfect for my up coming beach day. I also ordered the matching tank. I'm an older woman but really wanted to avoid the granny swim dress look but still cover the areas of my body that I'm not comfortable showing on the beach. These pieces are perfect and I will be ordering more in other patterns. Oh, and these shorts have pockets. I love that! Don't be afraid to buy these. Private Island Hawaii rocks!
Bought these for the beach. Pros: great coverage, uv protection, and side pockets for shells! Con: the waistband does come up as a hi rise, but the seam connecting the band to the bottom of the suit is tight and without any stretch so you have to wear them low on your hips or you will have wedgies and worse.
Quality materials. Not too thick and not too thin. Nice and soft and not scratchy. Breathable. I have 4 Private Island tops, short and 3/4 sleeved and also have a pair of matching shorts and leggings. I love to wear these sets on the river or snorkeling or paddle boarding. Looks very sharp and helps not getting sunburned. I also love how they don't ride up or stretch out like other brands when wet. Love how they have plus sizes, thank you for that! I will always go to Private Island for any rash guard/swimwear needs!
Really useful side pockets are now becoming standard for leggings, but still rare in women's board shorts/swimwear. These have them on both sides and it's a glorious thing. On me these are knicker-length, which is a much more flattering style for me than capris or bermudas. If they weren't swimwear (ie shiny), I'd get a few more pairs for all-purpose summer wear. I sized up; that probably wasn't necessary, but they stay up anyway.
Just wore these kayaking and they are fantastic, if they had a drawstring they would be perfect for me, I have a pear shape...
I love these swim pants! I use them for lap swimming and at the beach so they work very well recreationally and athletically. The quality is there- it's like a thick swimsuit material and they still look brand new after frequent use for months. They fit great, and I've never had an issue with it falling down or moving in the water. I highly recommend these to anyone who's looking for something a little more modest to cover your legs while swimming.
These are very comfortable and I love the deep side pockets. They would not provide enough support if you have a large belly and want to jog but otherwise they are great.
I bought 2 more.
