Palm Circumference: measure the palm circumference with a soft ruler (exclude thumb finger).
Middle Finger Length: measure the length of your middle finger.
OK these were suppose to be 3 finger gloves and they are just a thumb and glove so the index finger is missing, so in other words there just gloves. Now the gloves themselves seem to be good looking and they fit which is a plus but I wanted the 3 finger version and that's what the picture shows on the amazon site. I'm not going to bother to return them as it's too much trouble and they will work for snow blowing but I was also hoping to use them in driving my car and not sure how they will work out doing that.
Update /16/2019 I've upped my rating to 4 stars only dinging them one for sending the wrong type the first time.
They are shipping me a new pair with the index finger in it for the 3 fingered glove. If the quality is as good as the regular glove type I received then these will be well worth the price if they hold up under use. They seem to be warm while I wore the regular glove type yesterday and it was in the teens so that's promising.
OK so I got my second pair and again it's just a glove with a thumb no index finger for a 3 fingered glove. I don't know if it's just a language problem or the image is incorrect or what but I'm thinking there isn't any 3 fingered glove as shown. I've reduced the rating to a 1 star as I'm frustrated now as I really need the 3 finger one for driving as I live in Maine and it gets really cold up here :(
A few years back I came extremely close to getting frostbite on all my fingers. Since then they can not tolerate cold weather. Even at 32 degrees and regular “thermal” gloves my fingers will be frozen and hurt. I read hundreds of Amazon reviews for winter gloves that not just claim to keep your hands warm but actually do it. Simply put these gloves have been a lifesaver! I had a deck to tear out today to make room for a new one. Started the job at about 8:30 am and it was around 28 degrees. Stupidly I thought I could get by with normal work gloves. The only reason being was because I was using power and hand tools (skill saw, sawsall, hammer, prybar, etc) so I was concerned about the dexterity with these 3 fingered mittens. After only 10 minutes I had to sit in my vehicle and thaw my hands. I had no choice but to wear the EXski gloves. I was very surprised these did not hinder my work at all. And my hands never began to get cold again for the rest of the day. Again they’ve been a lifesaver for me!
Update Jan 7, 2020: After some trial and error I realized that I needed the XL size. The Large fit me fine. However, I had another pair of gloves that were bigger on me but kept me much warmer and no matter how sweaty I might get, I would still be able to put the gloves on after taking them off because there was room to give. Plus I think the air in the glove provides warmth as well. So I made the switch. I'm happier now. I would recommend getting one size up. I know it may sound risky but this is just my story. Oh and yes, it's definitely rain and snow proof!!
I purchased the 3 finger mittens because I bike all seasons including cold weather. In NYC I'm cautious and keep 3 fingers resting on the brakes just in case a pedestrian is not looking for on-coming bikes, which is 99% of the time. I keep the ok sign (pointer finger and thumb on the handlebar for stability. I've worn the gloves once in cold weather so far and I must say they keep my hands and fingers very warm. So warm though that I've started to sweat a little. So I'm waiting for the real cold temps (below 30 F) to use these 3 finger mittens.
I didn't rate the water resistance yet because it hasn't rained or snowed. But I'll update my review when it does.
I like the loop at the end of the glove. I hang it up on a makeshift hook on my door so I don't lose them.
Good value but wish they were a little warmer. Realize they are for sking and more active use but I like them to walk to dog. Good to hang on to the leash and other things. Hands do get a little cold after a 30min walk in 20 degree weather. Very happy with the how water proof they are.
My husband has nerve damage in his hand and can't get traditional gloves on. These are perfect. He can get them on easily and still has the ability to grasp with the thumb and forefinger. Perfect for snow blowing and scooping.
I did receive the Mittens with the index finger and Thumb separate. I was anxious as I was skiing during an arctic blas which brought the base of the mountain to 13 degrees, windchill were near 1 degree at the base. Some said that these were not designed for the cold but They worked GREAT. Mt fingers did not get cold at all. I did have a liner (separate) but the articulation with the Finger and Thumb made my friends jealous with their full hand mitten. These held up great during the 4 day ski adventure.
Very warm and fits well. Skies for 5hrs and my hands stayed warm while on the mountain.
After 3 times of wearing these to snowboard, the fabric part of both mittens is ripped. For the price, I expect better quality. Today was the third time wearing them and noticed the rips, unfortunately, the window for return was closed a few days ago. Money bye bye
