I really liked this when I got it. My daughter and I went right outside to try it out and it seemed to work as advertised (picked items up) and was fun.
Do not underestimate this little grappling hook. I pulled an 85 pound cinder block out of the muck, slime & 7 feet of muddy water using this very small grappling hook. I admit I was disappointed with how small it was until I began using it. I have been very pleasantly surprised with its strength, durability and splendid ease of use when attached to 100 feet of 550 para cord. Great purchase!!
I am more then satisfied as this does all I want/need. I also think the seller, manufacturer is missing a large market. The market of the elderly and mobility hampered. I walk with a cane, picking up a dropped item is most difficult. This hook makes it very easy to pick dropped items; just drop it over the item and pull up on the cord. I would recommend to anyone who has difficulty stooping over. Well worth the investment.
Not worth the price. The way this thing came constructed is baffling to me on how it is supposed to grip items that fell. How the video shows it being open the closing once it touched the ground to grip an item? The bolts on this are so loose it closes on its own prior to reaching the ground and the two metal pieces on one side shift and close so the opposite piece can’t slide in. It is barely tight enough to as a grappling hook. I would trust this to hold items off the ground weighing no more than 50 pounds.
Product came exactly as described in good condition and on time. I recommend for any bug out bag or camping gear. Always handy to have some extra reach in tight places
Novelty item. It's so small that you actually can't use it for anything more than a keychain but still does work and is "cute" since it's so small there isn't enough weight to open the claw when trying to pick things up.
I use this for hanging my bag for work I hang it pretty much everywhere it comes in so handy I use it all the time people ask me about it all the time and ask me what it is and where I got it. It's a bit bulky to carry around but since I have to keep this backpack with me for work it's been a lifesaver
This thing is cool. Will I ever use it? Yes, we used it to fish a small gator out of our pond. Granted, our didn't work but it was fun.
