FREEDOM Basic Foot Orthosis (BFO) More support, control and durability than the Accommodator. Incorporating an upper layer of Aliplast and a supportive layer of Plastazote, this unique combination has made the widespread in-office fabrication of custom-molded orthoses possible. The forgiving BFO is readily tolerated, even during the most active sports. This flexible orthosis can be used off-the-shelf for basic arch support or modified with a wedge or ground for pronation/supination control. You can also easily incorporate it into a custom device tailored to meet a specific patient need. Weight capacity: approximately 300 lbs.

I am a physical therapist, and I have difficult feet, on which I stand all day. I found these off-the-shelf orthoses to be flexible and easily custom-modified. I modified a pair for my husband, whose podiatrist had recommended custom orthoses at 10x the price. When my husband came in with these, the podiatrist wanted to hire me. They provide firmer support than the blue accommodators, but not as hard as cork.I find that they bottom out after about 3 months ( I walk 10-13 miles in the course of a day's work), but they do the job, and a new pair every 3 months is still cheaper than custom if your insurance doesn't pay. They include transverse metatarsal and longitudinal arches, and, most important for me, cuboid support. Most off-the-shelf arch supports only have longitudinal arches.

My podiatrist suggested I use these to help with metatarsal pain while running. I purchased my first pair from the podiatrist and then found these for half the price. I plan to buy several more so that I do not have to switch them between shoes. They also help with plantar fasciitis. Highly recommend if you have either plantar or metatarsal pain.

They work great for my planter faciitis pain. Have used them for some time and they work in tennis shoes as well as dress shoes.

Very comfy

way cheaper then through my doctor.

This arch support works the best for me. My first ones came from the doctor's office in 2003. Since then I have tried a box full of different types, brands and even custom made but I always go back to these. I put them in most of my shoes. They keep my feet from aching and hurting better than the others.

Excellent fit for me. Can use instead of expensive custom orthotics for my plantar fasciitis. Podiatrist recommended
