Heavyweight, long-lasting sport drink bottles. Special BPA-free plastic formula allows even pressure to dispense all liquid in the bottle. Wide mouth opening to easily add ice. Natural color with red letters.
Bottle has 4 components: bottle, lid, straw and straw cap. We don't use straw caps. Bottle is holding up well. Stay tip has been deformed by chewing but still holding up well. Lids failed quickly. They were both cracked and prevented water flow via straw suction rendering bottled useless. One star due to lid failure. This was after relatively light use twice a week. Not impressed. And of course, replacement lids are not available for sale.
I thought these would be great for my hockey players, thinking they could easily work through their face masks. The bottles work fine, but the plastic end caps broke free from their tethers after just a few uses. After that, the slightest squeeze of the bottle sends liquid spewing out the straw. Even holding it between your knees in the car can be exciting. There are far better sports bottles out there.
Fulfills my needs as a water bottle when I am playing Ice hockey. Give a good squeeze and you get an admirable quenching of dihydro monoxide. I am a little concerned after long term use about the cap eventually popping off as the lid and top seem to be made of soft, easily warped plastic. Only time will tell. But the price is right and it does its job admirably
these bottles work ok most of the time, but they are made of cheap plastic and also tend to leak if the lid is not screwed on just right. we've had these leak all over the inside of a sports bag several times. I've purchased larger (wider) Mueller bottles in the past and those seemed to be made from more sturdy plastic and the threads seemed to 'catch' better. keep looking...there are better bottles out there.
I bought a water bottle from Dicks and the straw broke within a week. So I decided to check out Amazon for a good "hockey water bottle". It turns out I'm not the only parent who snagged these same water bottles for their hockey kids, these are all over the place at hockey practice and games so be sure to label yours clearly. It's a good bottle and 2 for that price was a good deal.
The bottle lid, even when screwed down tightly, will leak if the bottle itself is squeezed. These are not good for squeezing. Also the straw-cap retainer snaps very easily (snapped after a couple weeks of hockey practices on two out of two bottles) which increases the odds of your sports drink spilling all over your car or the inside of a bag.
The bottles work well and are good quality, but the caps on both bottles have already broken off. This means they leak water in bags and if they are tipped over on the field. Would have given 5 stars if the caps weren't so thin and flimsy.
Looks and feels like it will be durable. It's not flimsy and cheap like other water bottles. Bought for my daughter that plays hockey. We like the long curved tip because it fits through the cage gaps in the hel . the which makes it for fast and easy access for drinking water. Very happy with the purchase. Would highly recommend.
