Hopefully I can return item and get refund. Bought this as it appears to be exact replacement for Wise boat seats I currently have. Unfortunately, I lost one and needed to replace it. Either this is a "knockoff" and not a real Wise mfgd seat or Wise has seriously dropped their quality standards. I suspect it's a knockoff due to 1) the black Wise logo on the top of the seatback is screenprinted on this seat whereas on my original, it's stitched into the vinyl. That threw a flag to me when I opened the box. 2) the very first time I used this seat, the frame bends/flexes when you lean back in the seat to the point I'm afraid it's gonna break and dump me. I'm not a huge guy, app 240lbs. Either way, the old seat didn't flex like that. Keep searching if you want to get a good seat for your money because this product won't live up to your expectations if you've had real Wise boat seats before.
Get what ya pay for i guess! Seats dont hold up to my weight, 6'2" and weigh 250 lbs. The chairs looked great and looked like they would work great (matched the color of my boat). I placed them on strong pedestals but when i sat in the seat and leaned back to drive the back of the chair just folded over. I am now looking to get a different chair that has a stronger back.
Ordered these after reading a ton of reviews..Haven't had them on the boat more than eight months with very little use and well, I'm extremely disappointed. They are flimsy feeling to say the least. I'm 160 pounds and these things flex so much if you lean back you feel like they're going to collapse. The stitching along the front corners of the seat is pulling apart, so you can tell they were made with the least amount of material possible. I might try contacting Wise and seeing if they can do anything for me. I really feel like these could and should be better seats. Maybe I just got some on their off day, but I really don't want to buy seats every year.
Please don't listen to the reviews. I asked if the Wise arms would fit...I got no for answer's...they were wrong. I've also found the seat to be excellent. I've also found the company to be very friendly and useful. I bought the lockable swivel also and the three combined are working great.
Ok, so I just received this seat today, (6/23/2020). Manufactures date on label is 3/02/20. Please see the video below for a detailed explanation of the problem. One of the threaded inserts (molded into the plastic bottom) that receive the bolts that hold the swivel to the seat are so far out of location that I cannot even get the screws to line up. This is without even trying to line up the swivel base. Here's the kicker, this is the second seat I have tried as the first had the same problem and I returned for replacement!!!! Stapling is bad...How hard is it to check to see if the screws will even go into their respective holes?? China made so "Wise" seats are no longer worth a crap..Do not buy... do not buy... do not buy!!!!!
i'm not a big guy, about 150 lbs, perhaps I just don't have enough padding back there, but man after an hour or so, this seat becomes really uncomfortable, I don't think it has enough padding either lol. For the money though, the quality seems good, been on my boat about a year now and so far so good in that area, but the comfort part has a lot to be desired.
Similar to seats I have replaced before, but padding seems to be more substantial than some. I also question the velcro closure on the bottom of the seat back collecting rainwater as some have mentioned, but will have to see how that pans out. Main thing is that I caught this seat at a great price which I see has now gone back up, so it was a good value.
Used for ice fishing. Comfortable and seam sturdy. Would recommend to friend looking for affordable boat seats. Also purchased quick release base plates for easy removal.
My local legend boat dealer wanted $150 for similiar seats. I like to support them, but not at twice the price. these seats were perfect, pulled the base support off the old original seats, screwed them on these and off to the races.
Very pleased. They look well built and according to the papers inside the seats come with a good warranty.
An inexpensive boat seat. Good quality for the price
Not bad for price. Rust started IMMEDIATELY on snap for strap.
It’s a boat seat. What more can I say
Seats are excellent! Saved $60 per seat versus buying from a local marine place here.
Fast delivery, good replacement seat.
Es lo que necesitaba
bon produit mais assemblage du dossier mal penser lorsque le dossier est rabattu l'eau rentre dans le dossier par le velcro
