Beyond just a solid shirt, the rugged yet soft twill fabric and wood looking buttons make this shirt an everyday favorite.
I've had two of these shirts for years and wore them out. They fit as expected and have really good features (double fabric at elbows, eyeglass tab over left breast pocket). There is a major drawback to these new shirts I just ordered. Either the buttons used (sleeves, collar and front tab) are the wrong size (too big) or the machine setting used for the button holes was set wrong (too small). It is really hard to button and unbutton all of the buttons. I am seriously thinking of returning these shirts.
Fit like a tent. I am a 40-yo man, 6'1" and 200 lbs - not particularly lean. Most things in a Large fit me well.
Very good quality fabric, nice construction and finish. Fits about as well as any large I've tried the last 10 years or so - - fits well at the shoulders and baggy at the waist. I'm 5-9 and 170 with wide shoulders and a 32/33 waist.
This is a quality shirt. It is nicely finished, fits pretty much as expected (after reading reviews), and the buttons are securely stitched. It has not been washed yet, so I cannot comment on fading or shrinkage. My biggest concern, aside from quality, was fit. As I get older I find I am not as "large" as i used to be. Whereas in the past I could fairly easily wear a large, I find I now am much closer to a medium-I am 6 ft., 160 lbs, and usually measure 15 1/2" neck and 33" sleeve. Most reviews stated that the shirt ran large, so I ordered a medium to be safe and it fits great. This is not a "trim" cut shirt, either. It is fairly full cut which I prefer. So, if you are on the edge between medium and large, go for the medium.
For many years I have worn Carhartt's Sandstone Twill shirt but apparently they have been discontinued. I recently purchased this Wolverine shirt and was pleasantly surprised to find that it is almost identical to the Carhartt.
The color is not the same as on the website. It is darker. However, the cut is very good so I bought 2 Green. If you have wide shoulder and athletic build, you will love this shirt. It accentuate your build and muscle. If you have a belly, then you will not like this shirt. It narrows/tapers in on the abs area.
Who ever heard of putting the pencil slot in the left side of the left pocket? Well someone at Wolverine did! Does a great job of stabbing your arm/chest if you move around. When it's not stabbing you it is uncomfortable and out of reach too! Wake up designers, this is a very comfortable shirt with a stupid layout for pencil storage! Put the pencil slot in the standard location and I would make this my "go to" work shirt, because it's not I had it changed on the 2 I bought and won't buy them again.
This would be darn near a perfect item if the buttons were not rather undersized and the pockets too shallow to protect a smart phone. Hello, Wolverine, you coulda done this really right!
Good solid shirt.....sleeves may be short after washing/drying....I haven't washed it yet
Good quality.....I haven't washed it yet but suspect all will be good
Muy buena para tiempos de frío y lluvia
