COLUMBIA PFG FIT
Columbia makes some fantastic shirts, and the Terminal Tackle series is no exception. The only downside to the Terminal tackle, and the only reason I deducted a star, is that these shirts have freakishly long sleeves. Most PFG shirts run a little large, but the sleeves on these are fairly ridiculous. I am 5’10”, 195 lbs, and would typically wear a Large in most similar styled shirts, but I have to get a Medium in Columbia PFG shirts. Even with the Medium size, the sleeves on this shirt will hang completely over the end of my fingertips. I typically pull the sleeves up anyway, but this is pretty aggravating. Normally, if a shirt fit poorly, I would return, but I packed the shirt for a trip and didn’t have any alternative but to wear it. So the moral of the story is, if you have average length arms, you may want to drop down 1 to 2 shirt sizes from your normal fit.

Another hint with Columbia shirts is that any of the styles which have an SPF rating will be the best for extreme heat. The open style weave is extremely breathable, hence the cooling effect, yet some UV penetration can occur, hence the SPF rating. For example, the Blood & Guts III, Tamiami II, and Terminal Tackle have this type of fabric, which makes them by far my favorite styles for summertime outdoor wear. Below I have rated/summarized this and other shirts in the PFG line based on several factors.

See my review of the PFG Terminal Tackle Hoody (Black) for most of the feedback I have. I bought this one in what looked like grey with orange. What arrived is a color-accurate greenish-greyish-brown with orange. It's fine and I'm not unhappy with the color. I've since bought another hoody in this style and will likely get a lighter color in the crew neck. These shirts are great for when it's hot and sunny - don't be afraid to wear sleeves in the sun, it'll protect you from dozens of procedures to remove gross moles and skin cancer.

The reviews about the sleeves & sizing concerned me, but the Large fits me loose-ish but PERFECTLY. I'm 6', 200 lbs, 46" chest, 36" waist.

If I needed this shirt tailored for work AND I'd never be active in the shirt (ridiculous), I'd have the tailor take in the sleeves 1.5" - 2" max. Fortunately, my hands are larger than my wrists, and I expect to bend my elbow (which pulls the sleeve shorter)...so the extra 1.5" of sleeve on this super-lightweight shirt is perfect for me.

I just received the shirt today, so can't say anything about SPF, what it looks like after 20 washes, etc. If it's not 5-start I'll return to the review, but I was relieved at how perfectly the shirt fit and felt...so I needed to immediately stop working so I could write this review.

Takes a little getting used to coming from cotton 95% of the time but for summer wear /motorcycle riding, these are quite literally unbeatable if you value comfort and don't get down with the whole Uber-tight Under Armour style of pseudo-skin/sweat soaked, peel-off nano shirts. No odor, no stain, washes consistently every time. I wear mine for up to a week while camping in the Backcountry, with maybe 1 or 2 creek rinse/wring outs and have no thoughts about wearing it inside stores for resupplies. I'm also the type who showers 2x a day and would wear cologne if not for the skeeters. ORDER 1 SIZE UP FOR COMFORT

I own eight of these shirts and absolutely love them. They keep my skin protected from the sun while keeping me cool and are very comfortable against the skin and I highly recommend them. However, I have recieved multiple shirts with poor quality while others have held up. The picture above is after the first wash before I even wore the item. I also have a dark blue shirt with gold writing that the letters continue to peel off of during each wash cycle. Hopefully the replacement shirt is of better quality.

I really like these shirts!!! I used them for deep sea fishing in 98 degree weather in Panama and these prevented sunburn, exposure and actually kept me cooler than the temperature indicates. The first day a large fish bled out all over me and it washed out easily. The only caution is that I wear Large to Extra Large shirts normally but I needed a Medium size for this shirt and probably could fit in a Small if I wanted it skin tight so order it smaller than you normally would.

I highly recommend these shirts!!

I agonized over what size to order so hopefully this helps...

Tall athletic build, at 6', ~170 and I actually ordered a SMALL, based on size charts and reviews. Fits perfect!! Loose fit but doesn't look like I'm wearing a blanket. I'm usually a Large, occasionally a medium if brand runs big. This shirt fits loose (its supposed to) but sizing down one or two sizes is definitely recommended.

So far the shirt seems to be up to usual Columbia standards, but I'll update that down the road.

I have a Lawn Care Business, I get a little over a year out of these with daily use. Buy the end of the season they are a little faded by the sun but still usable. NOTE: They seem to last a little longer if you hang dry over putting them in the dryer. Spring is around the corner time to order some more.

Great long sleeve shirt for fishing. Comfortable and cool in the summer. The fabric is very light, quick dries and with an very high UPF 50 sun protection. This shirt is perfect for fishing in hot weather! Just make sure to check the sizing, I usally wear a Medium and opted for Small, it was the good choice. This product sizing seems to run large. Overall good product and purchase, I recommend it for the price!

Works amazingly well. Keeps you comfortable in the heat. Dries quickly after a hop in the lake.

Love these shirts, love amazon prime, always order a size down with any Columbia fishing shirts

Fresco, pero protege termicamente, bastante ligera y resistente. MUY RECOMENDABLE.
