In StockThis is our heaviest base layer, at 250g/m2. It combines our 18.5-micron responsibly sourced Merino and recycled polyester technical fibers in a remarkable construction that positions the polyester next to your skin for maximum wicking while the wool faces out for superior insulation. With its long sleeves it is the ideal garment to layer beneath one of our AmFIB jackets. Thumb loops keep the sleeves in place as you pull on your jersey.
I'm 6' and just under 190 pounds and bought an XL. And it's a little small. I can still wear it, and I like the performance aspect, but don't understand why the sizing on so many bike tops don't follow other shirts. I wear a size large in all my cotton t-shirts and polo style tops, and they fit perfectly. I also bought a wool cycling jersey recently in XL, and it too is overly snug. Sorry, but no way do I consider myself to be a XXL. Even at the 230 pounds I was last year, a size XL was all I ever bought for my non-cycling shirts. |
My son has always worn a size XL in shirts, and he has owned other Pearl Izumi cold weather cycling shirts. This shirt, however, was very small on him. He is tall and lanky, and so I thought that this would fit well. The body is tight and short, and the sleeves are short as well. Having said this, he was very sad that the shirt did not fit. The quality of the shirt is wonderful, and it was exactly what he had hoped for. |
