I was looking for a replacement sub for one that had blown in my boat. I should have saved the money spent on this and applied it to a higher grade sub. This unit does not handle low frequencies very well. It will soon be replaced with a another JL Audio or higher end unit. I should have known, but I stepped out on a limb here. This sub proves that you get what you pay for. |
Had to send the first one back because it was bad, ordered another and it seems to be fine, sounds good. |

The sub sound great for 2 weeks .. i only had a small amp powering it. in less than 2 weeks it started fluttering. All bass is gone. It does have a 1 year warrenty on it so I guess I will try to send it back. I saw where someone said they got stuck with the return charges,, |
sounded great until it blew.... dont try and put all 500 watts into it, they dont last long that way... try half that maybe. |

Not yet installed, though did verify they work great. Be awhile before they're installed, but if they're anything like Pyle's PLMR62 6.5" 200watt & PLMR692 6x9" 260watt speakers, then I can't wait to hear these things pump! Fit & finish is very high quality & actually something very beautiful about the look of these subs! ...perfect match to the rest of the Hydra Series speakers as well as my all-white Side x Side! Also purchased with the new Pyle Elite Series 400watt 4CH Bluetooth Amp which is still on the way. Not sure if it's difference in Canada/US shopping, but have NEVER EVER had any problems with Pyle products as some reviewers have mentioned. Will definitely update once everything is all installed together! Surely thinking of getting 2 more of these subs...can never have too much bass! |
i bought two of these... once I took the time to build custom box's and wire up my amp I was sad to fine out that one of the subs made a horrible "crackle" sound every time the bass would hit. The other sub did however work great but now I am stuck with one pile fo garbage and one single sub when I wanted two.... I did get a response from the manufacture but they simply stopped returning my emails. Quite disappointed. |
