This item took 3 weeks to receive (even though it was a 2 day ship item) and when it arrived we had to send it back because my 13 year old son couldn't even get it on. Oddly, the Youth large fit but was snug and we ordered this as we assumed an Adult Small would be the next size up. It seemed the material of the pads of this item were much more rigid than this brand's Youth Large and that was preventing the flexibility needed to pull the shirt on. |
It protected my ribs very well during a basketball game. My ribs were previously hurt and it is very sensitive now. So I gave a try to this shirt. I am so glad I put it on, because I had multiple impacts to the same region, and the padding reduced the impact for me and ribs did not get any worse. Note, I added a small circular sponge right under the original protector for extra cushion. The shirt is tight enough that during 2 hrs activity the extra padding did not move. |
When I order this item it never showed up. I contacted the vendor and they were able to send out another one for me. My son likes having this for football. It makes him feel more protected and not stifling hot while playing. Because of the compression, it is a challenge to get off after playing and being sweaty so some assistance may be needed. |
Bought this for my son and he absolutely loves it. Ordered a 2nd pair for him to allow for washing and air drying to not damage the equipment. Highly recommend this one. |
This item is bulky especially on the shoulders. Not good for anything but football and it doesn't even cover the sternum. |

Fits true to size, my oldest started tackle football this year and really likes it. He made the comment that is is breathable and cooler than wearing a t-shirt under his pads |
