Decided to try MK for the first time. I was impressed by the quality of the fabric and the pants construction. They look great, very stylish and really built for the outdoors. Unfortunately I did not find a size that was a good fit. I normally wear a 32W34L on regular or slim fit on other brands. The Camber 106 is a Classic fit (same as regular fit on many other brands, which is between their slim fit and relaxed fit). Tried the 32W34L and it had a bulk of loose fabric form around the crotch, while the waist was a little tight for a 32.
I should have paid more attention to people's mentions of sizing in the reviews; the waist on this pant runs small. The 32 waist feels like a 30 or 31. I purchased another MK pant in a different style and noticed the same thing, so maybe it is how all MK pants are. No, I didn't get larger around my waist hehe; I recently purchased pants in two other outdoors brands which fit normal. Probably returning, can't exchange because price has gone up $25 since last week haha...bummer.
I love these pants! That being said, the sizing for the waist is different than expected. I wear a 30" waist and usually that is a little loose. When I got the 30in waist for these pants it was far to tight. I had to size up to a 32" waist which fit perfectly, like my usual 30" size normally feels. I would recommend sizing up. I had to return my initial pair and reorder the size up.
The materials and stitching are great. The gusset in the crotch makes a great difference. The sewing in the knees is great. All good things but I cannot give more than three stars because the sizing is so wildly off it’s laughable. I have three pairs and all of them are supposed to be 33x34 (although I actually wear a 32x34) and every single one is completely different, in length and in waist. One pair I have to wear a belt, another pair I had to remove the stud and sew a button about 1/4” over for it to be a true 33 and a different pair sits above the waist but is designed to sit at or below. I absolutely will never place them in the dryer either as they will then be completely too small. There is next to no sizing QC it seems. It’s disappointing as I like the styles but probably will not purchase anymore pairs.
My son is the senior network administrator and does a lot of heavy work -- switches and especially servers are very heavy and he is also bending and cabling as they are making an entirely new cable room etc in their new building. The pants fit well, stretch and have metal riveted button at the waist he really likes. He asked for more of these pants on his birthday!
The size claimed is better than most. The material weight is very thin lacking an outdoor ruggedness leading to questions of durability. There is no crotch pocket for the men which puts pressure on stuff making the casual wearing of these uncomfortable. The pants look good but lack a well thought out design for men and outdoor use. I would not recommend these.
Have several pairs of the Camber 106's. They typically run small in the waist. I usually wear a 34 (waist) but order 35's in these. I like that they are tight in the waist but have room to move everywhere else (the gusseted crotch and the articulated knees) without being baggy.
These are great pants. They fit true to size and are comfortable. I’m 6’2” and 205 with an athletic build and the 34L-34W fits perfectly. They get more comfortable and soft the more you wash them.
