I bike commute almost year-round in Seattle, and these are my go-to pants when the weather turns worse for winter. I wear these when the temperature drops below about 55, and it's comfortable all the way down into the high 30's, although I tend to stop biking when it drops below 40. I subscribe to the "rather be wet than clammy" approach to water-proofing, and these pants fit the bill really well - they're warm and insulated, have some mild water resistance light rain seems to roll off it, and it still breathes enough that I don't get over-heated in them. The padding is better/more durable than I've seen in name-brand Pearl Izumi pants costing more than twice as much.

They're not kidding about ordering needing a size up. I'm 5'6", about 160lbs with a 33-34" waist. I'm almost universally a medium in most clothing, but for this I ordered a large and it *just* fits my waistline. I'd probably be more comfortable in an XL, but then the legs would probably be too long.

Santic Men's Cycling 4D Padded Long Compression Tights look & seem to be well made, especially for the price. I’m 5’9” 170lbs 32” waist & the US Medium/Asian XL fit me perfectly. The waist & thighs are not too tight & there’s plenty of length in the legs. The padding is in the correct placement for me & did not shift during my ride. I wore these on a 100 minute ride in 45F (7C) & was very comfortable.

There are zippers on both legs, on the Achilles heels section, that make putting on & removing the pants easy. The zippers also have reflective strips to help being seen. There is a small zippered pocket at the small of the back of the pants. This is just large enough for a smaller cell phone (my iPhone 6) & a key or two. There are no other pockets. These pants are not fleece lined, but will keep you warm in cooler temps as long as you are active. These are not for really cold rides. If you do not like the look of tights, you could wear a pair of loose shorts over these.

Overall, I really like these bike pants. I’ll be ordering another pair in the future. Thank you for taking the time to read this review, I hope you found it helpful.

Seems like the pants would have been fine if they had fit. The sizing chart does not make any sense to me. It says to go a size larger, but larger than what? Do Asians measure inches differently than those on other continents? Or do they mean "larger than you'd usually get on any other product besides this one"?
-I have a 35 inch waist, which usually means large, so I got the XL. When the item arrived, the label said that the US size is actually *two* sizes different than Asian size, not one. It was too tight for me, so I tried the XXL. Still too tight.
-I assumed that the waist sizes had typos and should have been 10 inches larger (what guy has a 26 inch waist?), but now I'm not sure. I don't know what the numbers mean.

I think the XXXL might have been best for me, but I ended up just getting some pants from a local bike shop. Picked a large off the rack, and it felt larger than the Santic XXL.

I was looking for a new brand of cycling tights to buy on a regular basis. I've bought a lot of Pearl Izzumi in the past from bike shops but they are expensive. I actually like these Santic tights better and I can buy 3 pairs for the same price as one pair of the Pearl Izzumi. The padding is excellent. It's thick but soft. It compresses enough on my rides that it didn't change my riding position compared to my older shorts and tights. The fit was perfect. Not tight, but also not loose. I'm 5' 7" and 154 pounds and I bought the US medium. I'm going to order the Santic cycling shorts next which have the same padding. If I like them as well as the tights then I will have a new brand to buy regularly for a lot less money than I've been paying in the past.
UPDATE-I've worn these tights on several cold weather rides and I am extremely happy with them. I ordered another pair and also a pair of the Santic cycling shorts. The shorts have the exact same pad and fit me exactly the same as the tights. I've found a new brand that I I will buy again regularly. I normally like to buy 3 new sets of clothes every season and I will be able to buy 3 sets now for the price of what I was paying for one set of the name brand.

They definitely seem quite good quality overall. They are snug but in a good way as they are stretchy but not too tight anywhere. My measurements fit everywhere but the waist which is several inches bigger but they fit perfect. I definitely would not have been happy with the larger size as the leg length would have been too long. They claim that the stitching is reflective but it definitely is not. There is a thin strip along the leg zippers {about 6 inches long) that is reflective along with a small tag.

The only real issue I have is the padding that is in an hourglass shape that goes from the backside around to the front. It is rather stiff and thick. I am sure this will help with making the seat more comfortable but given how stiff it is when I put it on it protrudes, especially from the backside, making it look like I am wearing a very large size stiff maxi-pad that I have had a bowel movement in. I am hoping that with a bit of use and perhaps a washing it will lose some of its stiffness. It is also not the most comfortable to sit on a normal chair with. Personally I would have gone with a bit less padding or something less stiff, but again I will see if use and washing helps. if it were not for the odd padding they would get 5 out of 5 stars as they really seem overall great quality and fit really nice, except of course the protruding maxi-pad look.

EDIT: After a few rides it did calm down and now does not protrude so I am changing to 5 star.

On the plus side they seem extremely breathable. I love the mesh behind the knees! Good for cooler weather but not what I would want to wear if it is close to the freezing mark.

One more slight negative. The pocket that sits in the back is shaped somewhat like a wide W. Good enough to put a few smaller things in but if you are trying to dig out small coins or something it can be rather challenging to get things out of the deep corners. Kind of looks like you are digging for gold on your backside. Overall I doubt I will use it for anything other than perhaps a bit of paper money a key.

I really like these cycling pants. They are comfortable and the padding works really well for me.

I've used them in 6C weather and found them to be a little light. I think the ideal temperature range for these is 8C to 15C.

I'm 6 ft 3 in (190 cm) tall, with long legs and the size XL fits just a little bit short (about 2 inches or 5 cm above my ankle), but nothing that's too much of a problem

The product is well made, with good construction and materials. But the sizing is really odd... the US XL is the right length for me (6'2" with fairly long legs) but way too wide at the waist and hips, so the tights ride down. Also, be aware that the seat is very heavily padded; it's like having a gel seat cover in your pants. If the sizing works and the padding isn't an issue then I'd recommend these tights on account of the quality and style (they look great!); otherwise, look elsewhere.

The quality is very good specially 18% spandex addition have made the fabric very smooth and flexible. It feels very much like high end products. Similar product is over 100 dollar when at sale at bike shop. I am 5'6" and XL size is fits me well. But it is better contact seller before ordering. They seem to be prompt in reply and very helpful.

Les pantalons sont de bonne qualité et le service après-vente est extraordinaire. Très bon produit pour le prix et confortable en vélo. Je porte du 30 de taille habituellement et environs 150 livres, 5’7 et le USA Medium est parfait.
