I originally ordered a large in a couple pairs of these based on some of the reviews, even though the size chart put me in a medium. I have an athletic "rear" and legs so I figured I would need large. I wore one pair of the large and felt like they were a little tight but not tight enough to give the support they are supposed to. I returned and ordered the medium as the size chart put me in and they do what they say they're supposed to now. Good support in the knee, which is what I was looking for as an alternative to wearing a knee support while running. These things look so tiny when you get them but they really stretch out. I run hot so I probably won't wear them again until the temps drop below 50 or so but I really get good support now that I have the right size. I will say that in the right size they really squeeze you in and should not be loose enough that they are easy to pull on. You should have to almost roll them up and struggle a little. They are meant to be compression after all. The tummy has a panel which sucks in that area. However, the waist band is loose and actually has a drawstring so it doesn't cut in and give you a muffin top... who wants that?! As a side note because I was wondering myself what the differences are in the different CW-X compression tight models... there's the Pro, the Stabilyx, etc. Stabilyx is the only one that gives full abdominal and lower body support. The other ones are just knee and thigh, just thigh, etc. You can find the info on all of them on the CW-X website.
I own seven pairs of CW-X tights. While they offer great support, these tights are not durable. For the price I expect a much better quality product. Three pairs of my CW-X tights have developed holes in different areas after only moderate use---(1) in the knee area (2) seamed ripped in the crotch area (3) a hole developed in the fabric in the crotch area (see picture. I placed a gray shirt underneath so you can see the hole that developed). I purchased the right size for my height/weight so I know that's not the issue, and I wash/dry them according to the manufacturer's recommendation. While my other pair have held up just fine, this product cost too much for an almost 50% failure rate. I've ran several marathons/half-marathons and I like the support CW-X tights offer, but I've had to throw away three pairs after only a few months of running in them. I'm in the market for a another brand of tights.
I've had these same pants for three years and they are still incredible. I just started running again after taking a long time off, and I made the mistake of running one workout without these, and my right knee blew up like a balloon. Never again. I will not wear another pair of running pants but these. If you have had every knee issue in the book, if you have had an orthopedic knee specialist tell you you should forget about running and swim instead, these are your pants. They help to stabilize the joint like a knee brace, without the bulk. I've torn my ACL, I have a congenital defect in both of my knees that make them prone to dislocation, I-band issues, patella-femoral pain syndrome, bursitis, torn meniscus - you name the knee problem, I've dealt with it. Hips, too. These are the only pants that have made running enjoyable for me again. I really was not kidding when I said I won't buy/wear another brand of running pants. These are perfect. I'd buy a lot more if I could afford them, but I've only ever had one pair. They've held up remarkably well. Get them now.
These are my all time favorite pants to run in and to workout in. I am training for my first half marathon and these are great for holding everything in place amd giving me the support i need. I am between a size 12/14 so i wear an XL in these, and they are perfect. I have 2 pairs and wear them them at least 5 days a week training.
I run 2-3 miles a day. after a lot of research these were the best fit since i needed them for my knees. i am 4' 11" or 5' depending on the time of day ha! so naturally, the knee slots dont really line up but since these are tight, they stay in place. i fold the bottom up to just below my knee came to give my needs a little extra support to keep them up. i got an extra small, i am 112-114. they are tight but thats how they should be. i was a competitive swimmer and these are like the fast skin suits. takes a while to get on but once they are on, they work as they are supposed to. i dont feel any of my muscles moving when i run. its great. also when putting these one, take off any rings and be careful with the nails. i almost had a close call with my wedding ring. would be super easy to tear these with a ring on. the draw string i put against my tummy the first time i ran. dont do that. i ended up rubbing it so hard it cut my stomach a little. so now i put the end of the draw string in that little pocket on the inside of the tights. works good now. also it has the ab support. WOW. first time i ran, my abs were burning! i guess i was working out my abs at the same time! working out muscles i didnt even know i had! overall, great tights. i will purchase another pair in the future. they are expensive but my reason was i would rather spend a little to have my knees supported then keep running, get an injury, pay for doctor bills and whatever else when i could have just purchased these to help me out.
I'm 46 y/o, 5'4 and 125 lbs. I bought a small at the last second for my Disney Marathon running costume. It was a humid 77* on race day but I'm cold natured and, more importantly, I appreciate my guts being held in place while going 26.2 miles.
I bought this product after I used the full length Stabilyx for a few months and summer was around the corner!!! I was amazed by its support same as with the full length one. I have issues with my knee having undertaken an ACL surgery a few years ago where my knee never recovered fully and caused me additional posture/pressure initiated issues at my hip. I am though sports active and I bought Stabilyx to support my runs which usually ended with lots of pain and needed ice therapy. WIth Stabilyx the pressure on my knee, hip and leg muscles is significantly less and I can run longer with less or no pains at all!! In overall it feels like your muscles are activated but not getting tired!! I am never going to run without it and when I feel my legs heavy I use it at my other athletic activities as well!!
These are comfortable - I have no complaints. The fit is spot on, I'm comfortable running in them, and I would recommend them to a friend.
Having first purchased these last year I have since worn nothing else for running, they have worn well considering the amount of use they have seen and I have high hopes of my second pair. Check the CWX size guide for fit before purchasing - I have not had any problem with sizing using the guidance provided.
I have three pairs of these which I love for the support they give me around me knees lower back etc. I have been wearing them for around 18 months for various fitness classes, spin, combat, circuits as well as running. My only complaint is that they are all becoming thread bear around the rear seam which runs down the centro of the bottom area. They could do with a support panel or reinforcement panel as this seems to be an area, well certainly in my case where they will wear though. Given the price which is not cheap I feel a little let down by this weakness in their design. I noticed that the pro tight has a panel to the reaar so may consider them in the future.
Wow, these are amazing!!!! I have had issues with my left knee which has left me unable to do high intensity cardio workouts. Not any more, I'm now pain free and I put it down to the fantastic web technology these tights offer. Previously I would be using roc tape and support straps, but these tights have it all built in. Endurance and recovery after HIIT is unbelievable. I wouldn't be without them now, so much so I've bought another pair! Highly recommend!
My wife likes these tights.
These tights are my best running purchase of late. I love them. Springy supportive and fun to run in. Don't have to k tape my knees now. Can't recommend them highly enough.
They support my knees and core. They don't ride up or slip down. They are perfect for my long runs whilst marathon training.
CWX Stabilyx capris are ived on date announced.
These are good for summer. Good tight fit as compression tights are meant to be. Excellent product. I am 5'5" 123lbs and wear S which are comfortable for me. If you don't want them super tight then get a size up.
I have been wearing these for years and are my all time favourite and actually the only tights I wear either for running or bootcamp. I've tried all and every other brand but they just don't cut it and I always go back to my CW-X stability tights.
The sizing chart indicated I was on the larger end of small SO I ordered a medium because I like looser fits. They are SO tight I am going to order a Large and sell these ones.
Era lo que esperaba , me gusto es muy buen material , el precio lo dice todo
I loved how these pants fit but they do not hold up well. After one Spartan race they have holes in them which is disappointing for the price
