Suitable for the highest levels of competition and training, the Team Solid swimsuit from Dolfin features polyester for exceptional stretch and recovery properties, long-wearing performance, and a soft fit. This swimsuit's fabrication includes a UPF 50+ rating for sun protection.
Dolfin polyester suits fit well and hold up well to repeated chlorine exposure. Once you have found your right size, you will love this swimsuit. I am 5'3" and weigh 110 pounds and the 36 fits perfectly. Conversely, I wear a 32/6 in Speedo so you will probably have to size up as Dolfin polyester suits don't have much stretch and unlike the Speedo swimsuits, the torso doesn't tend to be very long. But make no mistake, these are very good suits for the price.
As some have commented, the straps on this suit are incredibly short, so if you have larger breasts (or the broad shoulders swimmers are known for) you'll have difficulty getting this on. This seems best suited to someone with a short torso; those with long torsos will find that the neckline cuts across the nipples and what isn't revealed here is shown off on the sides. The material is fairly stretchy and normal sizing would work if the bodice were not so short. The other issue is that the seams do not feel sturdy and I would not recommend this for someone seeking a daily workout suit. Short-bodied, infrequent swimmers with smaller chests may find this suitable.
For an affordable competitive training suit, this fits the bill well. However, it runs very small. I had to return our regular sized suit (a 28) for the next size up (a 30), and the 30 is still too small in length, i.e. it is very tight through the shoulders. My recommendation is to order up a size, especially if you're on the fence or between sizes. Otherwise, I'm happy with the suit.
Haven't worn in the pool yet, but I teach about 20 hours of swim lessons in a week, so I have a pretty good idea of the quality of swim suits. I ordered a size up and went to the sizing chart on Dolphins website, Dolphin suits are typically not as stretchy, so a size up is typically needed. But that's why they last so much longer than other brands. Recommend if you spend a lot of time in the pool, and hate when your suit gets all stretched out and sags from the chlorine.
These suits are very nice and would deserve 5 stars but the sizing so far off I honestly can't. My daughter is a competitive swimmer and these suits run at least 2-3 sizes too small. They honestly need to do something about the sizing on these suits.
I bought this suit to replace my current swimsuit of the same model. After ordering the same size (40) and realizing it was too large, I placed an order for a 38 (because according to the sizing chart on the Dolfin website, your swimsuit size matches your bust). Sadly, this suit was still too large. Disappointed, I contacted Swim2000 with my concerns. Still wanting the suit but not wanting to pay a third shipping charge, Swim2000 offered to pay for the shipping to return both suits and sent out a 36 as an exchange. I was very satisfied with the customer service and very happy to finally have a suit that fits.
I really wanted to get this swimsuit. When I wore it, fit well. Dolfin swimsuit size is smaller than others. So I failed two times before. But this fits well. And I like this kind of low cutting and cover my hips perfectly. Last thins, I was happy to be delivered my country directly. Thank you for shop manager.
I lap swim an hour six days a week. I purchased size 40. I am a senior, 135 lbs - 5'1" with large bust, smaller hips, a little stocky. The body of the suit is short - but for me that is perfect. Because I am "fuller" I fill out the suit more sideways. The bottom fits great, snug. The top flattens but that is good for lap swimming. The design of straps is great - nothing rubs. It is a firm stretch. It is all lined. I ordered a second one today. It is great in chorine pool - doesn't fade or fall apart like some. I have used this brand before, similar suit.
