Do not buy these bicycle shorts. I recently purchased a pair of "Pearl Izumi - Ride Men's Pursuit Attack Shorts" and I am returning them. The padding in the seat is terrible and really thin. In 2015 I purchased two pair of "Pearl Izumi Attack Short" which I was extremely pleased with and I was assuming that my recent purchase of the "Pearl Izumi - Ride Men's Pursuit Attack Shorts" was basically the same thing and of the same quality but it is not even close. I do not recommend these bicycle shorts at all.

These shorts DO NOT grip. The hem is loose. On these newer versions the hem is much wider creating a major design flaw. This was not an issue with previous version of the same product. I don't have sprinter legs but these are the first shorts I've ever worn from any manufacturer that don't grip. Terrible.

This is yet another recent inconsistency with PI. They don't seem to make their products with the QC and attention to detail like they used to. I tried on a pair of equivalent Garneau's and became an instant convert.

I've been riding with these for about a month now. They are decent riding shorts but I have to say I was a little underwhelmed for the $80 price. I have a pair of $45 Club Ride liners that are just as good at half the price. My web searches seems to indicate these were the shorts to get for under $100. Since I'm doing more street riding than trail riding lately, I wanted a short with better cushioning for longer rides spent mostly on the seat. These aren't that. Maybe my expectations were too high?

They also seem to run bigger than the large size in my two other brands of riding shorts. Maybe I should have ordered a medium, but the large don't fit very snuggly and they feel a little droopy in the backside. Not very comfortable walking around in them before or after the ride.

Won't pay $80 for these again since they are just not "better" enough than cheaper shorts.

Apparently, these are for "Trackies" with sprinter's quads. I have worn and enjoyed eight pairs of size medium pearl izumi shorts over the last six years (about 40k miles), but these fit differently enough to be useless for me. Dopey me, I wore them once, so they are mine now.

They look like the original Attack shorts, but are from the original. i have had numerous pairs of these over the years are always wear size large. Now the fit is less than desirable, the leg openings are loose and the waste sags in the back.
These are going back. I should have read the reviews first, now I see others are saying the same thing. Like everything, no one cares about quality anymore, just charge more for less.

DISCLAIMER: I have recently returned a pair of Sugoi shorts (way too small) and a pair of Louis Garneau shorts (no leg grippers and a little small elsewhere) for fit issues. I HAVE NOT WORN THE PI SHORTS ON A RIDE YET, but here are some preliminary observations…

I am 6’-3” 180 lbs, and I ordered size Large
    Price paid: $80 US
1st observation: Nice quality, soft material, not shiny
2nd observation: Non-molded chamois, unlike others at this price point
3rd observation: Wimpy Silicone leg grippers
    4th observation: No draw string

Overall fit was okay but the leg openings were loose. I do have somewhat thin legs but I’ve never had this problem before with any of my other bike shorts, and I’ve been riding for 30 years. I'm considering having them tailored to fit my legs, so there goes an additional 20 bucks.

Will update once I ride with them a few times. Stay tuned.

These are not the same as previous Attach shorts I have purchased from Amazon or REI. The chamois is completely different - thin. Returning.

I was a little nervous, because the shorts that I have been riding, are no longer available. I love Pearl Izumi because their products are so consistent. The new model performs just like the pairs I have riding for over five years.

I do not recommended it all due to waist loose and switch to bib shorts. I switched short only to Louis Garneau.

Die Hose ist super bequem und macht optisch richtig was her. Sehr sexy Look.
