There I was, alone on the Buffalo on a dry late summer afternoon, with only a thick forest of Arkansas bamboo and a dark pool of snapping turtles between me and my destination, a mysterious slot canyon foretold by an ancient hiking blog... There was only one way through and I wasn't looking forward to it. But my loins were girded with armor, the armor I had come to trust to always dry quickly, protect from chafing, and keep the man bits out of the way of angry turtles... my Adidas Climalite Boxer Briefs. I would not be vanquished. The forces of nature combined could not breech this underwear, and as night fell and I sat on the rocks above, warm and dry, eating my turtle soup I thought... I'm glad I purchased my Adidas Climalite Boxer Briefs.

Seriously though, this underwear is the bomb diggity. I use them for all day hikes, running, lifting weights, lining biking shorts, swimming, I can't think of an athletic pursuit that would find me without these hugging my nethers. And they're quite comfy just hanging around the house on a lazy day too. I'm wearing them right now as I type this and I haven't made a spelling mistake yet. Now I'm not saying they'll make YOU a good speller, but I'm confident they won't make you worse.

Good support, keep you warm in winter and wick away sweat well to keep you cool in summer, and they last forever. I can get at least a year out of a pair and I abuse clothing very badly.

Had them for 3 months only. Always cold-washed and air-dried on a rack. Then the tops of the waistband started "curling" (pictured). The same thing happened with their " Adidas Men's Relaxed Performance Stretch Cotton Boxer". I've had other brands of sports boxers that lasted years without this issue.

I purchased this for my son. He owns and operates an very busy pizzeria. You can only imagine how hot it gets in the kitchen during the warmer months. Really oppressive. Problem is, you cannot use air conditioning as it effects the dough! Last year I bought him a special powder that worked okay but, really didn't solve the problem. This year, after a little research I found these. I took a chance on the Adidas brand because it has a good reputation. I can tell you, from this purchase, that Adidas delivers!! They fit really well, a little on the snug side but, not to the point that it is uncomfortable or restricting. Actually, that is a benefit. The undies are made to pull the moisture away from the body so that the area stays dry...thus, no irritation! A great success! I purchased another brand for comparison and my son wanted more! They were looser, but, did not provide the comfort or wicking of moisture as well. So, in the end, Adidas wins! I rely heavily on review when making purchases. [...]! Thank you!

YAY! no more sweaty cajones. Amazingly enough before the Adidas Climalite Sport Performance underwear I wore cotton briefs of one sort or another and thought my discomfort was a way of life. Sweaty, smelly uncomfortable life! Well no more. I was impressed the first time I put a pair on. The first pair was a size L, which is what I normally wear. They were pretty good but I ordered size XL and my life was complete. I work in a fitness center so the breath ability is welcome. Should I become sweaty they dry quickly. I would occasionally have a heat rash with cotton briefs but not any more.

Oddly enough I have a very small quibble. I ride a bicycle most days and I was surprised even though these shorts are stitched with flat seams they seem to irritate my behind ever so slightly. This is a very minor nit and is not enough to reduce my five star rating. I would definitely recommend this underwear.

Update 9-9-17:

I have purchased another couple of two packs and am still reveling in the comfort of these briefs. I'm wearing these every day. Wear characteristics are still on a high level. Elastic is good and the stitching holds fine.

When I originally reviewed these I think I was too eager to love them. They have a great feel and they do help with sweat and chafing. That being said they don't eliminate it, and in extreme heat where sweat is intense and things get sticky they almost felt like they were creating a bigger problem than my cotton boxer briefs. I think this has a lot to do with fit, the crotch is not a separate pouch. I recently purchased some underwear by David Archy with a pouch, and I am having a totally different experience. In comparison I can't give these a 5 star rating anymore because there is far better out there.

If your not a Big sweater, or you don't regularly suffer from heat rash and chafing these are a great and durable pair of chonies. They just aren't right for me and I can say there is better available.

DURABILITY I bought these 2 years ago and they are still holding strong no major signs of wear, and still have the same elasticity.

These are great, but I returned the unopened packages, because the "midway" length is more comfortable and better performing for me than this "boxer" length. The difference seems to be in that with the midway length, the legs do not work their way up, while in the boxer lenght they do. For a more sexy look, it would be boxer length, for better comfort and performance, it is the midway (9" inseam) length. Regarding the material, from what I've seen, "Climalite" is different from "Climacool". I have tried both, and I very strongly prefer "Clmalite".

Comfortable and fit for purpose for distance running, zero chafing so far!

These are great for the gym! They’re like silk and fit really well.
