20D*400T Nylon Taffeta Shell with coating lead to more tightness and warmth. And this jacket filled with 80% light and soft duck down to form an air insulation layer to provide excellent heat insulation and long term warmth preservation for cold days.
The fabric is treated by PA coating process, which makes the fabric more hermetically sealed to quickly form a defense barrier and block out cold air. At the same time, elasticized hem, cuffs and stand collar also help seal out cold air effectively.
The weight is only 220g-320g, but the insulated premium down offers good warmth and softness, making you comfort without feeling bulky or heavy during your outdoor adventure. Also this down coat can be used as a liner to wear with an outwear in extremely cold days.
Durable polyester nylon fabric and parallel quilted design with fine sewing craft can hold down in place and prevent leakage of down and feather, making this down jacket a best choice for your travel, outdoor and casual wearing. Besides, fabric surface with clear grid brings great texture out.
While it may look like a Hefty garbage bag, this has been one of the most useful, effective jackets I've ever owned. I've no kidding worn it outside for a considerable amount of time in ambient temps as cold as -15F and I was not cold whatsoever. I only has a long sleeve Nike dri-fit shirt underneath. Sounds impossible, and that's why I give it 5 stars. It packs to a size maybe 50 percent larger than a soda can, making it perfect for those that travel a lot but don't want to drag around big, heavy jackets. Super impressed. I just wish the material looked better.
I wear a medium top in most things & occasionally a large. I bought this in XLARGE because they seem to run small. It fits well with ample room to spare for layering if needed. The workmanship is fine and the zipper works smoothly(women's style for some reason). The blue lining is darker and more subdued than the photos show. It has two interior pockets of good size(not zippered). The jacket zips up to a turtleneck height so it keeps your neck protected from the wind if needed. It's light and packs to a hefty burrito size in its own bag.
The jacket in itself is good and have good warmth factor. Fit was also good. The issue is that it smells so bad (like a dead animal or chicken) and you just cant bear it. Returning it straightaway as I couldnt wear it anymore. Its first day of wearing this jacket in office and it just stinks. Even my colleagues are complaining of foul smell.
The jacket was a disappointment for several reasons. Flrst, I ordered a size several inches larger than I usually take since I'd be wearing a sweater underneath it, yet it was too tight. Second, the sleeves were short. Third, it felt as though there was no down insulation at all. Had to return it, which Amazon made easy.
If you're a backpacker and want to save some money, but need a down jacket, this is it! It is super light, and packs really small. I loved mine. I recently spend the night backpacking, and the temps dipped down to the middle 30's. With a long sleeve cotton shirt, a light fleece sweater, and this on top, I was completely warm.
Great packable down jacket. It is light weight so it may not keep you warm if the temperature drops too low...but living in Florida this is more than enough for our "cold" nights. It is very comfortable. I used it on a camping trip and wore it all night to keep me warm within my light weight sleeping bag and it worked very well. It can pack down into a cinch bag that is included. So packing this for travel is great. I am not sure how water proof or resistant it is but I do believe it could withstand a light rain but not much more.
I had none of the common problems mentioned in most reviews. No smell, fits just fine (read the size chart), warm enough… BUT: the feathers come out of the jacket and can be found all over your clothes, the worst is that I always wear black shirts which makes it much more obvious. I live in a tropical country hence this is the first down jacket I ever own, but I seriously doubt the stuffing coming out is a common thing. Other than that, everything is fine, I bought it for my 3 weeks backpacking Eurotrip during November in the Alps, which may be cold but not extremely.
Love this jacket. Purchased as a carry along on hiking trips and it's perfect. Ultra light weight, as all down jackets should be, slick outer shell for easy stuffing, very warm for its weight. I'm 5'10 170 42-44 and purchased the XL in gray. It's loose but not overly so. Gives me room to layer a little when the weather gets colder. Name brand coats of this style would easily run 100.00-200.00 if not more. Get it, you'll be happy.
Great product. My son says it’s very warm. Bought it to layer with lite weight hockey jacket. He just turned 12 and is 5’1” and about 85lbs. Slim build. I ordered an adult small I believe so to say these jackets fit adults is a long stretch. We live in Saskatchewan Canada. On a cold day of minus 15-20 plus a wind and he stays toasty warm but he does have a wind breaker type jacket on top. Overall it’s an excellent layering jacket and not too bulky. Just wish sizing was more appropriate to average North American size people.
My hubby loves it, I just though it would have been thicker based on how the picture looks.
XL was too small, but very nice coat
Not very many "feathers" so not a puffy as the picture. Also very small. I ordered a large, which is the size I usually purchase and it is a VERY tight fit.
Nice coat although I thought it had more fill light comfy and certainly packable.
Who would have thought that something so thin, light and 'squishable' could be so effective in cold times.
Deceiving on website. Not as puffy as expected. Warm enough for cool days.
great by, fit good
Excellent produit, léger et chaud.
