With its bright all-over print and minimalist back, the Arena Malaki One Piece is cute, comfortable, and durable.
For anyone that doesn't know much about the sizing of little kids competitive swimsuits - and I include myself in this group - I bought this for my four-year-old because she's already on the path to swimming competitively. It was massive on her. She's on the skinny side so that probably didn't help but I think this suit is probably appropriate for an eight-year-old girl. The above being said, the suit is nonetheless absolutely fantastic. It's gorgeous and looks to be well-made. Don't dry it though (that goes for Arena, Speedo, etc.) Rather than returning it, I put it away for her to wear in a few years. Just thought I would share this for anyone who's not quite sure whether a 22 would fit their child.
Very pleased with purchase of Arena Malaki race suit. Bought this for 5 year old daughter to use as swim team practice suit. The style is very cute on, looks like bikini from the back and one piece from front. The price was excellent ($13) but don't understands why Amazon bounces their prices around so much. Before the suit arrived I tried to buy another the price jumped to $68 for same suit, same size. Swim suit has held up well to 5 practice a week schedule. I rinse or toss in washing machine after each swim. Love the fun red pattern and styling. My daughter is slim athletic build 45 inches tall, 40 pounds size 22 is bit big but fine for practice. Wish this suit came in size 20. Highly recommend.
This suit has a HUGE opening in the back side that is not typical for young swimmers. Not only does it expose a lot of flesh, the areas are open to capture pool water rather than being tight around the bum. More sexy suit than a good suit for a young swimmer.
My 9 year old wears this for swim practice and loves it. It fits well. There is coverage in the right places.
It fits really really well and looks great! It's also very comfortable. This is my daughter's favorite swimsuit by far!
My daughter owns several arena suits and many suits by other makers. This suit was unusual in that the opening on the sides was large enough so that when looking at her from the front, you could see her skin by her ribs/belly showing. Wasn't comfortable at all. Too bad, because the pattern was great.
