The durable Nitro Ultra Distance Golf Balls are perfectly suited to help golfers of all levels make the most of their swing and truly go the distance. Perfectly symmetrical and aerodynamic dimpled grooves around the Dupont Lithium Surlyn cut proof cover help to maximize your distance, while the titanium core proves to be extremely reactive.
I find most of the reviews a bit hilarious. Unless you have a swing speed in excess of 100 MPH and hit the club dead center like a pro....balls make little difference. I am "old". I did not start playing until in my sixties (70+ now) and I can still play from 6000 plus yards but often have shots in to the green from 150-175 and these balls go straight as my Pro V1s onto the green. The best thing is I can see them better at a distance I have used Callaway Chrome Soft and Titlist Pro V1 and V1X many times. I think amateurs would do better saving money on balls and clubs and spending it on lessons. If you are slicing the ball, it has nothing to do with the ball.....it means you never learned a golf swing.
Listen, are you going to get more spin with a Callaway Chrome Soft or a Pro V1? Yes.. but that's not the ball you're buying here. This is a harder ball made for distance, not spin control. With that in mind, this ball does exactly what you'd like it to do. I hit 300-320 yard drives in the fairway about 70% of the time with these, which is the exact same as when I play with more expensive balls. These are great for 95% of golfers, and anyone saying they're an 8+ handicapper and they notice a big difference in performance is standing on a soap box talking falsely representing their "talent".
Perfect golf ball to find in the deep rough, which is where I spend a lot of my time. Bright enough to see underwater in the pond that I sent it into as well. Cheap enough that when I come close to hitting another golfer I can just act like it wasn't me and drive away leaving it behind with the disgruntled golfer. Light enough that when I top it for the 3rd time in a row I can easily throw it into the stratosphere. Highly recommend!
As a high handicaper (I play at around 95 - 100), golf balls doesn't make a different as much. However, it kills me each time when I lost expensive balls or hit them in water hazards. So I decided to give Nitro a try as it is the cheapest balls I can find. It performs ok. I like the feeling of playing with new shiny balls and when I lost them I don't waste time searching, I just drop a new ball and continue without delay. I haven't encountered defect balls like other reviewers yet but at this price I won't complain about that.
86 yr old 17 hdkp Fl resident golfer. Tried the ball in a "practice" round today. Like hitting a rock of the tee. 20 yrds less than with Precept. Fairway shots required 2 extra clubs. No hold when hitting loft shot to green. After round went to our club simulator and confirmed what I found on course. Did find that they were good for filling up a shelf in the garage. Please don't buy at any price.
I bought these to try out an alternative to much more expensive orange balls I had been using (Volvikl), but I didn't expect much from them. I was wrong. They hit well, I'm getting at least the same distance I was getting with the Volviks and saving money. That's a great combination. They're also just as visible as the Volvik orange.
Green is a must have when it comes to golf balls. They’re so easy to find when you aren’t always able to make it onto the fairway. They’re especially nice when your golf buddies shoot shire balls; no more arguing over whose is who! Excellent distance and a fast roll on the green, took a hole or two to get used to the speed of these balls, but I’m super happy with them.
First the only thing that I noticed/didn't like, was that they are cut up pretty quick through a round. But that is to be expected with for the price.
Terrible like hitting rocks
I bought these balls for best ball tournaments. You don't get more distance and the ball very difficult to shape. If you're in a scramble, use it for tee shots and swap out for your approach - these balls have little feel to them. You're better off using found Topflite and Pinnacle balls.
Will go as far as any good distance ball, but these have no spin at all, and therefore are useless for approach shot. You might as well play the balls you find around the course. For the same price in stores you can get a pack of Wilson 50 Elites which while not perfect will be a much better bang for your buck.
The durability of the cover is not good but it performed as well as any brand named ball so totally worth it.
Ahora solo juego con pelotas de color naranja. Se ven perfectamente desde cualquier distancia y jugar con ellas es magnifico, hasta gane algunas yardas de distancia con ellas.
