I'm 62 and a disabled combat veteran, so I don't have the club head speed I used to have, averaging 200-205 yards off the tee before buying this driver. It's super light, one of the lightest on the market, and esthetically pleasing to the eye. I started crushing my drives, relative to previous drivers, right out of the box and have added 15-20 yards to my drives (averaging 215-220 yards). At $300, it is at least $200 less than most of the top drivers of 2019, making it a terrific value. The game is much more enjoyable and I can reach more greens in regulation since purchasing the Wilson Staff D7 driver.

The only downside was that the driver was not available in grip sizes other than "regular". I use a "mid-size" grip, but "mid-size" and "jumbo" are not an option, even from the manufacturer. I had to buy a separate mid-size grip and have it installed at my club's pro shop, a minor inconvenience and added cost (for the grip and installation).

In keeping with going to a senior shaft on all of my clubs I needed a new driver. I had already purchased the Wilson Staff irons and fairway woods and was extremely satisfied with them so I went with the new D7 driver with senior shaft. I have played 4 rounds with it and it is a great club. Would definitely recommend it.

I just wanted to add some distance to my drive and hit more fairways. My old driver works fine (ping G10) but 5 or
10 more yards would be nice. I figured after 10 plus years of new technology this should not be a problem. Very impressed. Off center hits mostly found the fairway. The sound is great! even on bad hits. Its light weight so more clubhead speed. Time will tell on the distance but my old drive is now replaced!!

Everything about it is terrific except for the grip

Wilson has done an amazing job with these D7 clubs. Not only do you get superior engineering in the driver head with some massive power built in, but you have an all-around comfortable grip and shaft for a smooth swing. This driver should be a standard on the links. Not only will amateurs benefit from the forgiving technology built into the head, but even pros will appreciate the powerful design and reasonable price point.

The look is basic overall, though I could do without the action decals along the shaft. The driver comes with a nifty black and blue pleather cover that'll do the trick in protecting the driver.

The carbon fiber look on the top of the head looks great. It looks like carbon fiber is under smoked glass or something to that effect.

I hit more shots straight with this club right off the bat. I don't believe I got much more distance than I did with my older Taylor Made driver but I was hitting them straight more often. I have a bit of a slice and I even did with this club at times but some of my shots were straight down the middle. I am hoping that with more practice I can do even better. I feel like I can get a bit more distance at least with more practice.

The grip is Lamkin and is pretty nice. It has been a while since I had Wilson clubs. I think Wilson stepped their game up quite a bit on their clubs years ago. This is a very nice driver in my opinion.

If you are looking to get a lighter driver this is the one to get. It really does make a difference in club head speed having a lighter club. This Wilson club sounds good and solid when hitting the ball also. Other drivers can sound a little tinny but this sounds nice and solid. I have a Taylormade that costs about twice as much as this and I hit this driver just as far as the Taylormade but the Wilson is actually easier for me to swing since it's lighter. Which actually is easier on my back too. Just remember to get the right shaft flex for your swing. I'm not a pga tour golfer so the regular flex and 10.5 degree is perfect for me. A great value at this price.
