I bought a icebreaker T and wasn’t super happy with it for the price. I was hesitant on buying another icebreaker product but the price went down so far that I couldn’t pass on the deal. This icebreaker shirt was so much better. First, it’s soft and doesn’t itch. (Other wasn’t super soft and was a lil itchy). The medium fit me perfectly. Not too slim and not loose either. We’ll just have to see how well it performs when I travel.
*real time review edit. Had to downgrade a star. The stitches in the shoulder and under the arm itch as you walk. Still not a deal breaker, but a downgrade

We are loving all the icebreaker merino wool
Base layers we got for the whole family. This was priced better than the prices I got directly fr
Icebreaker. Husband is happy and wears for cold weather activities like winter hiking and skiing. He also used this during our family trip to the Arctic circle in Finland in 5 degree Ft snowy weather.

As far as I can tell this is the "gold standard" for merino base layer. You get what you pay for, at at this price, it ought to be! Fits close to the body so if you are not a fan of that, I'd recommend sizing up. I love it!

I wanted a travel shirt that could be part of my layering and that would have a shot at being wearable more than one day. Merino wool is naturally antimicrobial. This shirt fits the bill. It's comfortable and I get complements when wearing it by itself as a shirt.

My favorite fall and winter piece! Super warm and a perfect base layer. 115 lbs, but sized up to a small for comparability and not a snug fit.

Fit well, soft merino wool and a good base layer or on its own with its basic but good look. Next try their hiking socks if Amazon would stock them I’d buy more as I love them . Wear well, warn wick moisture easily and are comfortable too.

compared to other good quality brands like smartwool, mammut, or kuhl this base layer stands at the top in every respect: functionality, fit, comfort, construction, etc. i bought a navy blue one and used it all winter last year: no fading of color, no getting bent out of shape, and no chaffing.

i used it for 2 weeks without washing it once and it didnt smell bad at all, most of the time i used it as after-walk shirt but i also hiked with it for few days.
i also liked it because its thin but also warming.

Bought for working in winter Norway conditions.

Good points:
- Warm
- Marino wool has antibacterial properties and ensures that they don't get smelly after wearing for days on end!
- Breathable
- Material is feels soft and is comfortable to wear.

Bad Points:
- None I have encountered so far.

Brilliant I wore this on a round the world trip for days on end not only did it look like it was fresh on every day it didn’t show signs that it needed laundering. Great fit plus warm and comfortable.

I like finding items I can buy knowing they will fit the recipient. This isn't the first and it won't be the last I buy.

I bought a couple of ice-breaker merino tips for my partner as he’s had them before and really liked them. Warm. Functional. Good quality (if a little pricey). Last for years. Breath. Don’t get smelly. Great for travelling. Look good.

My husband loves these base layers and will wear nothing else
