I love this thing! It fits well over a jacket, but is also adjustable to fit without a jacket. I've had several chances to wear it already. I teach the motorcycle course, and we've been having many rainy days. The hand-warmer pockets are a godsend when the rain and wind chill the air. The hood is nice as well, and covers my head even if I still have my Tilley hat on. This jacket is definitely worth the money. I also bought the bib pants, and they are awesome, too. The side pouches hold my teaching materials, so I don't have to worry about where I'm going to put them, as I did with my other rain pants. I'm 5'11", 215 pounds, bought both in large, and they both fit very well, once you get it adjusted to your size. |
I bought the Pilot II jacket, overshoes, pants, gloves that go over gloves... the whole package. I'm 6'2, 310ish.. bought the 3XL jacket and 2xl pants. Perfect fit. Love this gear! I bought it to see if I could tolerate the cold... so I rode in 40-44 degree weather on my motorcycle, with just a long sleeve shirt and light sweat pants under the gear... and I was warm! The over gloves don't provide much heat, but helped a little ; but they do cover wrists. Good gear... will wear it all year round. |
Ideal rain gear in Florida showers when I’m coastal sailing in a rain storm. I chose the yellow for visibility. Good fit. Snap straps seal around wrists. Zippers prevent water intrusion. Built in hood comes low enough over brow to protect my face. |
First the fit, I Ordered the X large 5'10" 230lbs and is perfect with layers under. Went Salmon fishing in Northern Japan was snowing/windy and around freezing all afternoon I stayed completely dry and warm. Highly recommend this jacket. Had issues with draw strings but I will contact Frogg Toggs. |
Very nice rain jacket. I'm 5' 6", 190, and the large fit well with enough room to put on a couple of layers if it's colder outside. Material is quality. There was one issue. The front zipper would not zip all the way up because of a minor flaw in the sew job. I took a small amount of super glue and glued the small piece of material back, and now their aren't any issues. Yes I could have sent it back, but it's really not a huge deal. This is the reason I gave 4 stars. |
I bought 2, one for me and the other for my partner. Sleeves are way to short ( I where a 35 sleeve) this looks more like a ladies coat. I’m one day pass the return limit. So I’m stuck with this. Careful what you buy, won’t be purchasing from frogg Toggs again... |
Nice inner and outer jacket combo. I've been using frogtogg for years. Its definately not a parka but a nicely made lite insulated waterproof jacket would I purchade again? Definately not at a combined price of $235. I would say its priced at least $100 to high.. only my opinion. But it's a nice quality well made product. |
Rain jackets have always provided protection from the rain at the start but the longer you stand out in the rain the material gets saturated because the waterproof layer is no longer sufficient to bead away the moisture. This jacket is totally different, from the beginning to a few hours into the rain it still beads off the water. I guess the saying about you get what you paid for is true, the cost on this jacket is much higher than others but it does the job. Wish I knew about this jacket and company a long time ago. |
First of all, I am 6’ 210lbs and I ordered the LARGE. I also ordered the Matching LARGE bib pants. I think the length and fitment of this jacket is great. It’s not a fitted jacket so there is some bulk in the arms and the chest for layering which for me is great. I fish year round so layering is key to warmth. This jacket allows just that. |
Not made for Canadian Summer Rain. |
Sucks zipper was broke when received. Sent a few pictures and complaints with NO resolution |
Best rain jacket I have bought! Use it for fly fishing and it has been great in the rain. |
High quality jacket , kept me dry during a down pour in my boat. Paired it up with the frogg toggs co pilot insulated puff jacket, and so far has kept me warm during the Canadian winter. Definitely recommend. |
