dont buy the deluxe solar panel for this hog light,,,such a scam to show this item also sold with the hog light,, the light will not work if solar panel is plugged in.I called moultrie ,they told me this,,they also told me they asked Amazon to remove it ,,because it makes it look like it will charge your "C" batteries and work at night. It charges your battery, but light will not work if solar panel is plug to it. SO DECEIVING ON AMAZONS PART

Two have not worked properly.
The 1st one in October was outside for 5 to 7 days. I'm not sure if it rained during that period but it shouldn't matter.
It is an outside designed product. After a week the light had a "mind of it's own" . It would stay on in daylight, go out a dark, and overall act completely random. I just made the 30 day period and Amazon replaced it for me.

Now, on Thanksgiving day, I put 4 new "C" batteries in the new light. I just took it out of the box, it has never been used or outside. When in the "On" position it did not light up for 5 minutes, then came on for 15 minutes and latter went off on it's own. In the "Motion" position, if you stand under it and do a little dance it will come on half the time. The other half of the time it refuses to come on.

My conclusion is the circuitry needs work. I'm retired and not an engineer but I know this is utterly unreliable. For the price it should work all the time for 2 seasons in an outdoor environment. I'm a week past the return period.

My recommendation is buy something else.

SAVANNAH WILL

Over the years I have tried most brands of feeder lights and recently bought the Moultrie light and installed it on the underside of one of my feeders. I set the light to turn on when it detects motion and found that it responds when motion occur within about 15 feet. The LEDs, which face downward, do a better job of lighting up the area under and around the feeder than any light I've previously used including much more expensive brands. The feeder is about 50 yards from my elevated stand and any hogs that come to the feeder will be clearly visible. The Moultrie in my opinion is best in class.

I have had the light for about a year. I do not leave it out all the time (not legal for deer season). It has worked reliably and provides plenty of light. The three negatives I have are it used C batteries, a small screwdriver is needed to access the batteries, and the modes appear to be mislabeled. Since I don't have to change the batteries often and I normally only use one setting these are simply inconveniences. I find the light to be a good alternative to a more expensive brand that I also own.

I received this item today and started to set up the light. I noticed that someone had inscribed their name on the light. This is not an open box item but a new item. I energized the light to see if it would work and it did not. I hope Amazon is not selling used or broken items as new. Very disappointed!!

Motion sensor doesn’t turn on the light until you are directly below the unit. I have it mounted to the bottom of a moultrie feeder/timer, below a 55 gallon drum with 8’ tall legs. Motion sensor is at 7’+/- an inch. You have to get under the drum before the light will turn on. That is the only issue I have. Even with that it still works better than the big brand Kill Light.

I love this light I’m a hunter have been for all my life and you see all kinds of things for sale ooo this ooooo gota have that this light is easy to put on I made a jumper wire off my battery with a Solar panel on it found one of the kids old plugs for a 6 v or 12 v and made the jumper wire off that put it on and when it’s dark like pitch black and when it came on no doubt the green light is bright and doesn’t scare off anything coons deer hogs rabbits whatever so I normally trap out the coons on the feeders but now do it differently air gun and the kids and sale hides if u have a hog or critter problems it’s the light and it will not come on in the day light has a dusk Lin’s u have to cover up to make it come on finger that out when installing it hope it helps stay blessed and safe hunting

The light works really well and puts out quite a bit of light. It does go through batteries very quickly. The light stays on longer than other hog lights I've used - which is good for getting the shot - but it shortens the battery life. It needs a solar charger.

Die Idee ist gut von der Lampe.
Leider ist Sie nicht Wasserdicht und nach einer Woche Outdoor Einsatz war die Lampe defekt.
