Initially had issues with drag and realized my backer was slipping on the spool. Used electrical tape under backer and has worked excellent since. Counter window gets fogged up during inclement weather, otherwise solid purchase.

Line counter is a joke on the accudepths. Bought three and one okuma. After trolling on the weekends for a few months, the line counters have failed on two of the three. pressing the reset button does nothing. The third is starting to go bad. Will be replacing them with Okuma Coldwater reels.

Have 5 of these. Caught walleyes,to crappie and a musky. The counters get a bit sticky occasionally after a few years. That’s why I won’t give 5 stars.

The line counter works great if you use the recommended line diameter.
Nice feel and handling.
Works very well.

I purchased 2 of these reels and one has a defective drag. I purchased this sometime ago and finally got to use it. I started trolling and the drag would not hold with a lure, flasher and 3 oz. weight.

I use mine for everything from trolling for walleye to trolling for muskie and salmon and it works like a champ, I like the 27 series due to the spool size saves on line and I have yet to have a fish spool the real. It has been durable to this point and I would highly recommend this to any fisherman that trolls for constantly getting back to the same spot you caught fish.

very good

I already own 4 of these and love them. I bought 2 more to replace two Okuma Magda Pro 30D's that are worn out already. They were newer than my other Daiwa Accudepth reels that are still working strong.

Nice reel should increase my catch. Good line capacity looking forward to using it when weather warms up.
