After buying this item I immediately returned it. It would no doubt fit on my outboard but the steel is so light I can flex the channel together with my fingers. I am sure that even the most lazy thief would have no trouble prying this off with a large screw driver or a tire iron. The "rubber coating" appears to me to be simply a coat of paint. It might offer a visual barrier to a thief but that is about it. |
This is a horrible item.... rattled once in place..... began to rust in one week?????!!!! Tossed it in the scrap pile . |
