Bought these for my 26 foot boat. Installed 5 of them. 2 in v-berth, one over port salon couch, 1 over port galley and one over starboard salon couch. The light is very white, which I like and very bright, which I also like. Light spreads well and wioth my white with blue trim interior looks great. Not so sure how the whiteness would work with a wood or darker interior but that's a personal choice. For a light colored interior it looks great.

The attaching wires are tiny (22ga?) and wiring them into the boats 16ga was a bit tricky. The bezel mounts on the surface and the LED light twists in the center. It was a bit tricky to get the butt joints and all out of the way to get the light in. Also - Do not substitute countersunk screws for panhead when mounting the bezel. You will not be able to install the light in the bezel - Ask me how I know - LOL...

Finally they are not very "robust" looking. Time will tell but I don't expect these lights to last over 5 years in a marine environment. All in all they are worth the money.

These lights are advertised as accent lights, but I'm using them as area lights on my 24' sailboat. They have to be installed where you need light. I installed three lights, one over the galley, one over the dining table and one over the reading area of the double forward bunk reading area with the head underneath.
I used wire nuts to connect the small wires to my existing wiring. You have to have a hole to push this excess wiring into or else you will never be able to install the lens in it.
I had two existing holes where the boat wiring came out that were too small and I had to drill them larger. I had one hole that was too big for the mounting screw pattern, so I had to drill another hole next to the old one close enough to the existing hole so the fixture would cover both holes. I was only able to use three mounting screws on that one

Though the description of this product is correct (in terms of size), it is smaller than I expected it to be. That's not a knock on the product, just that I was expecting something a little larger. That being said, it puts out an excellent amount of light for its size. This is intended to be a cabin light or courtesy light in a cockpit, which means it needs to create enough light to see what you're doing without being blinded or without disrupting your field of view. This light meets those criteria.

I would give it 5 star except that the installation is a little tricky. If you don't get it in there just right, the wires will get in the way and keep you from spinning it and locking in place. Also, its designed for flush mount with no exposed wires, as there's no chase for the wires to come out the side.

Bought two and they were delivered few days early than expected, hooray! Initial inspection show wires at the switch have good solder joints. Both 12v and ground wires enter the LED housing were silicone sealed. Installed them underneath Roof Top Tent they appear to provide decent white light outputs... the light brightness is similar to 20w incandescent bulbs.

We purchased a new Class C motor home on a Ford E-450 chassis conversion. The incandescent dome light in the cab was very similar in size, but the lens and fixture got extremely hot , so hot that we thought it would distort the lens. After researching the dimensions, LEDs and price, the SeaSense fit the bill for size, color and the pocketbook. It installed perfectly over the area of the original fixture and has its own on/off switch for convenience. It will activate from the dash switch as well. This gives the perfect amount of light for map reading or just needing a cab light with no appreciable heat. It is well made, reservedly stylish and all fasteners are hidden. It should have longevity. We are in the process of going totally LED in the RV and will use one of these over the RV sink to supplement the light. Some reviewers say this does not give enough light. For the size, it seems brighter that the original dome light. A strong 5 stars!

Just received several of these lights as replacements for the 12 vdc incandescent lights in my boat. The light output level is about the same though this LED light puts out a whiter light. Current usage on the old fixture was 0.75 amps at 12 vdc. This new LED fixture is only 0.09 amp, approximately 1/8 as much current. The lamp is small so a new mounting base is required in my application. I'm very pleased with this upgrade.

I am impressed with the brightness. I plan to replace the standard bulb fixtures in my boat cabin with this. Hope they line up, I like this light. It is 12v with about six inches of #14 wire, plenty enough for a splice. Casts a nice white flood light at about 4k color.
Installed and awesome. Ordered more...

I bought this to use as a wired night light inside my RV bathroom. It was very easy to mount and I wired it directly to the bathroom wall switch. I originally gave this only 2 stars, but after reading all of the positive reviews, I looked at my wiring job again and found I did not wire it correctly.
After wiring it correctly, this light is "Very Bright" and is a great addition to my RV bathroom as a night light I can keep on all night.
I am now looking at buying 2 more to install above my bunk for reading. This gives off plenty of light and would be perfect for that.

Is a great little light. Perfect for the boat. Installation was a little frustrating to keep the wires out of the way to twist it in.... but easier than most boat parts and easier than the light I replaced.

Nice little lights...easy wiring...not super bright but combined with a few it works great in the cabin of the boat.

Good but cheap

Price was great but haven't installed it.
