Well manufactured and looks good, except 10 lumens turns out to be useless as a dock light.
I checked the AAA battery and selected white and even all colors on at once. I'm stuck with it as I mounted permanently on the pole cap.
If you still buy it, charge it for a day and temporarily place it near where you want it to work. If you’re happy, then good for you.
I think it was misleading to say not to place them too closely. There’s no way one could possibly affect another.
10 lumens is approximately equivalent to seven-tenths of a Watt. That’s one-tenth of a typical nightlight.

My new dock light did not work after following the instructions. I purchased other lighting by the same company and did not have any issue. Since my dock is hours away, I did not install it in the time allowed to return it on Amazon. For that reason I was instructed to contact Dock Edge directly. The operator there was helpful, and asked me to test it with a replacement battery. It is still not working, and I am waiting for a return call from Dock Edge. I would most likely make a different buying decision even if Dock Edge replaces my unit, as this has been a time consuming process.

Helpful notes:The piling cap on the unit I received looks very different then shown in the photo above. When you open up to install the battery be very careful as there are wires soldered from the circuit board to the clear cap that Dock Edge warned me could be broken if not careful.

Really great accent light for a dock or bulkhead.

You can choose from six colors. I usually keep them all on white, but depending on the time of year, I'll have them alternate. Like on the 4th of July I'll do red white and blue. Christmas will be red and green, etc...

They come on by themselves at dusk, and the batteries seem great so far. I get up at 5am for work and they're still shining.

I do seem some other reviews complaining about the brightness. It clearly states in multiple places that these are 10 lumens. These are meant to provide accent lighting - not illumination sufficient to replace light bulbs or whatever. It's not fair to criticize it for something it never claimed to be able to do. Anybody can do an internet search for "How bright is 10 lumens"

Instalation is easy. They sit right on top of my cone shaped piling cap. They come with three screws although I elected to use some longer deck screws I had.

Installed 4 units on our dock posts. Was concerned because the single battery is a AAA size and I didn't expect it to last very long. Installed in the afternoon of a cloudy day so they didn't get much sun first day. To my surprise they were still as bright the next morning at 6:00am as they were the night before! We are very pleased with the units. Though they look like a cupcake with a candle, the removable spike is functional where we are to keep the birds, seagulls and other pesky fowl from perching on them. And they can easily be set to any of six colors. GREAT LIGHT for the price.

These lights are perfect for the application I bought them for. I bought 4 and all work perfectly. Since they have full 360 degree lighting and are on all night, I am pleased that my boathouse lighting shouldn't annoy the neighbors enjoyment of darkness. These lights (especially when red and green) are very comparable to marker or bow lighting. You can easily see them - but they should not be bought as landscape lighting. Even when set to white, they only illuminate the immediate area - maybe around 8 ft or more. Placed on a dock, they will illuminate the deck. The choice of colors is easy and a nice feature. For me - they are EXACTLY what I wanted.

Great product!!! Best lights I ever bought!!!!

I bought a pair of these lights to test out prior to purchasing more to go around my new fishing dock that has a 90 ft. long walkway and 20’ x 20’ deck that is completely surrounded by hand railing for the security of my elderly Father. They were extremely simple to unbox and put together and have worked well from the first day I unpacked them and set them on the patio table over two weeks ago. On the 2nd night, after a full day charging outdoors on a drizzly day, they came on at dusk and were still shining bright through the fog the next morning. I am very pleased with the brightness level and the ability to change colors. However, the information available at the time I ordered stated they came with a touchpad to easily switch colors and they did not. So the only way to change the LED color is to unscrew the cap, push down the color selection lever and screw the top back on. Not a big deal if you only have a couple but pretty time consuming if you have a lot like I planned to have. Also, it stated the wildlife deterrent stake was removable, which it is not and I do not see where it even comes in this style without the stake. While I want the stake on the walkway, I don’t want them around the deck where they can potentially get snagged in a cast and tangled up in fishing line. I suspect this feature may have been removed to prevent water getting inside the light but there should be an option to purchase without the stake at all. Overall, the quality makes these lights a great value for the price and I definitely recommend them if the stake does not present a potential issue for you. However, it’s back to shopping for dock/deck lights for my project.

We bought almost 20 of these after seeing them at a neighbor's dock. They have a really nice light and I love that you can change the colors. I took off a star only because several of the lights we received looked like maybe they had been returned (no plastic covering, no battery protector) and one had a different box and different screws.

Never worked from time I got it. Sent message to seller and never heard back.
