The MiniBlast Compact Electric Horn features a long-lasting, non-corrosive ASA plastic cover and a sealed sound unit with stainless steel diaphragm.
All of these small boat horns are quite over priced for what they do(IMHO).... no rocket science here nor high value of materials either. Even so, this compact little horn does a good job, should bolt right in where the original was first mounted with two screws, and one hole for the wiring. Looks a lot better without all the chrome and junk on top as well, plus, It has a bit lower profile by about 1/2 to 3/4 inch.... not sticking up or out so far as the originals do. Comes with a new gasket to seal the under plate area, is pretty low profile, looks better than most, and you are ready to go. The price being higher than it is worth is why 4 stars, but all else is 5 star quality and function. Enjoy.
Easy to mount. Has decent sound, but I'm not sure it can be heard a mile away, but still meets the requirements. Recommend
It won’t shatter glass, but works good for the money. Only had it a month or two. If anything changes at the beginning of next year’s boat season changes, I’ll update.
This unit failed less than three months after the boat was in the water. Initially it had a crisp moderately loud horn sound, after it failed it now emits a weak, rattling, raspy croak that can't reach nearly far enough to be useful.

It replaced my existing horn perfectly. Its actually a little louder than the old one.
A good blast can be a life saver, who knows when and how it will be used!
I HAVE HAD BYCYCLE HORNS THAT WERE LOUDER
