This product has all the right stuff to capture beautiful pictures of birds except for a motion sensor! With it only being time lapse you have to hope something is there when the picture is taken. It having wingscapes in the name is completely misleading. This product is only good for cataloging long large projects, which makes this a very over priced product for what it actually does.

The image has a red ring in the middle that is very unpleasant. It looks like it's part of the sunscreen.
It is not very easy to set up and it can be frustrating to wait days to discover that you did not record anything. By the batteries is great and long durable.

La imagen tiene un aro de color rojizo en el centro que es muy desagradable. Parece que es parte del filtro solar.
No es muy fácil de configurar y puede ser frustrante esperar días para descubrir que no grabó nada. Por las pilas es genial, duran bastante.

I have used game cameras before but have never tried a bird/close up camera like this. I found this to be a fun camera and useful tool to have. I got it to capture time lapse images of my plants and my farm. My goal is to do a time lapse video of my plumeria trees next spring when they come out of dormancy and start growing.
The camera is really easy to set up and use. The hardest part is getting the focus set for the right distance of your target. They provide you with a measuring tape which comes in handy for this but I still had to do a few test shots to make sure the focus was correct. Even though Wingscapes gives you software for the time lapse video, I did not download it. I just used Microsoft Movie Maker instead to create the time lapse. There are also tons of cell phone applications that can do this.
I am very happy with the purchase, it is exactly what I hoped it would be. Check out the attached video for more regarding how it works. I hope this review helped.

This is a bit of a saga. I originally got the $99 Wingscapes Backyard Cam as a gift to capture images of birds at my backyard feeders. That product failed after one day. I called customer support and asked for a replacement. Instead of replacing it, they sent me a different game camera, the A-35 as a replacement and "upgrade".

It was a crappy "upgrade", since it was designed to take pictures of game at long ranges, not at close range pictures of birds. I called customer support once again and tried to explain what I needed - they listened to me explain my complaint, and then promptly hung up on me.

I called back and actually got a person who gave a crap and helped me out.
They did not have a camera in stock that had a motion detector to take pics only when activated by motion (which I wanted), but offered me the $169 TimelapseCam Pro as a replacement. Since that was the only option, I agreed and it was mailed to me.

It works as advertised, but it does not have a motion detector, only the ability to set how often a pic is taken.
I set it to take a pic every 10 seconds (the most rapid interval available) and set it up at my bird feeders.
At the end of the day I had 2500 pics to sort through to see if I got any good pics.

I have attached my best pic of hummingbirds.

I have just set it up to take pics of a zucchini plant growing to make a time lapse "movie" to see how that works that I will post in the future.

Overall - does what is is advertised to do
