Additional Information

I've been a Streamlight customer for several years. Always enjoyed the quality, durability, and value. Usually their quality is inline with the cost however this has obviously changed. Upon inserting the battery and screwing on the head, I noticed it felt "crunchy" and would not screw down fully. It was NOT cross threaded. As you can see by the picture, there is an aluminum tube in the body. The top of this tube is supposed to interface with the spring retaining collar on the head to create a secure fit. The tolerances in my flashlight were sloppy and created lots of tiny aluminum shavings as the head tried to seat into the tube. The switch was also not the quality I would expect either. I can confirm the spongy feeling expressed by other reviewers as well. I thought I might have received a counterfeit but I don't believe so. This was sold and shipped from Amazon, all packaging seemed original, unit did function albeit briefly, battery and even USB cable are correctly branded. Once the battery was fully charged and inserted into the flashlight, it did not turn on. Yes, polarity was correctly observed. This was a huge let down. Either I got a fake or Streamlight has cut corners in their production and is no longer producing the quality hardware they're known for. Which is a shame because I wanted to support an American company. There is no excuse why we can't build the same quality stuff they build in China. And there's no excuse why Amazon and other retailers can't get control of their supply chains and prevent counterfeit goods from being sold. I returned this defective light and purchased an Olight instead. My most recently purchased Streamlight MicroStream also had switch issues.

Programmable lighting
Able to stand upright
Included pocket clip

In less than three months the switch is going haywire often turning on the light by itself.
Has a warmer light than the 74300 Strion LED
Not enough programming modes.

This is a very cool flashlight. I got this because I live in an area prone to power outages, so ease of use superseded tacticool. The ten click programable function is nice as I really have no use for a mind shredding strobe. The soft click take a few uses to get used to, but it’s actually pretty useful, especially walking around twilight when you may need to briefly be seen. The little clip is garbage, snapped the first time I tried to adjust it, though it really wasn’t particularly good anyway. The flashlight is too big to clip to a hat and who cares which way it point in your pocket. The polycarbonate is great. It surpasses aluminum any day when it comes to durability and actually comes across like a tool and less like a man-boy toy. Now for the real news: the dual fuel is amazing. This is how any battery operated thing should be. I can keep batteries around for an emergency and I don’t have to tap into them day to day because I have the rechargeable one. It’s a very good idea and it’s what sold me on it in the first place.

Not tacticool
Dual fuel
Light weight polycarbonate
Ten click programable

Clip is brittle
Too big to use with hat clip
No memory (low, med, high, every time)

If you’re looking for a tool focused flashlight, this is the one. Light, durable, cheap. Just don’t adjust the clip.

I charged the battery and tried the light. Seems like a very nice light. Put the light down and came back after it was dark to see how it worked at night. The light will no longer turn on. Put a different battery in it and it still will not turn on.

Super durable and water resistant. The clip was tricky to take off until I realized it was just a thin o-ring that needed to be removed. I slide a blade under the ring (see pics, be sure not to cut it!) and popped it off, took off the pocket clip and put the o-ring back on. Going to mount on my 590A1 with an Elzetta mount. Will update pics when I do.

I've only been using this light for 2 weeks now but I've only had to charge it once while using it off and on at work throughout the day and it has taken a few bumps and bruises from falling out of the truck to being kicked around on concrete and it has not skipped a beat. Easily the best flashlight in every category that Ive purchased

While it isn't the brightest flashlight I own it is very bright for it's size and having the rechargeable 18650 battery is nice, fyi the battery has it's positive terminal sticking up above battery unlike most 18650 batteries which are flush on top. The flush ones won't make contact inside the battery.

Not quite as nice of tail switch as the original polytac. While this new version can stand on its tail, the new higher end pieces make operating the switch a little bit harder when all you want to do is use the momentary on feature.

Top notch flashlight. Super bright. Got a holster for it and always have it on me while at work. Best light I've used so far.
