Additional Information

This is required if you want to mount your sidewinder to your arc rails, but honestly I think it makes my helmet look stupid.
The light when mounted to this on the side of the helmet Juts out like some kind of snaggily tooth. The spring used to keep the light mounted tends to let the light "swing" so you may have to reposition the light when you turn it on to get it to face the proper orientation. But the spring is strong enough that I do not worry my light will fall off it. The mount itself is strongly molded plastic, and grips the rail very tightly. I am honestly more worried the arc rail adapter with fall off more than the mount. So for that, I applaud streamlight.
However in the future I think I will either buy a light that mounts directly to the helmet, or just attach the sidewinder to my carrier somewhere.

This mount is a good adapter to mount the Sidewinder to a 1913/Picatinny rail. It works well, securing the light to the adapter but it is not perfect. When mounted the light has some play as it rotates. It is not a big issue, but it is a pain when you have it set exactly where you want it and it moves a wee bit. I think this movement is due to the slots being molded to generous tolerances alowwing the light to wiggle a bit when in position.

I would buy it again.

Very simple interface. Clamps onto a rail on your helmet and allows for a Streamlight Sidewinder Compact Tactical Flashlight to slip on and off with ease. The round plastic disk of this adapter slips into the clip mount of the Sidewinder and then slides forward to lock into place. There's no modification needed to the flashlight, it will still work clipped onto a ball cap or into the head strap.

Very useful for adding gadgets to any helmet

Great rail interface for sidewinder lights.

Great product! Easy install!!

A flashlight adapter for the Sidewinder.
Not much to say about this little guy,
Connects to your helmet so you have a docking mount for your Sidewinder flashlight.

Need Fast picatinny rail. I assumed it would come with but luckily I have my own. Overall good product.

Solidly built, does exactly what it says. Used with a Streamlight Sidewinder Compact 2 headlamp on Team Wendy Exfil LTP as the helmet mount that comes with doesn't fit the bump helmet. This mount fits on the rails and keeps the light very solid. Allows for vertical rotation. Spring loaded design ensures that it stays at the angle you set it too. Colour matches the Streamlight exactly (as you would imagine) is a little bit more green/olive than the coyote tan of the helmet.

Good for mounting FSS-014 / 6e2 to a helmet rail.
