So, I got these in the mail today. I was skeptical at first due to the reviews and lack of a good sizing chart. But they fit great and I expect them to be amazing for the hikes I plan on going on.

I'll break down some of the complaints I saw in some of the other reviews or worries I had...

Size and fit:
I'm a solid size 14 dress size for women. I'm 5'6" and weigh around 200 pounds (I don't really know, it's been a minute since I last weighed myself). I have hips around the 46" mark (dat booty). I purchased the XXL and they fit great! They aren't too tight and I have moving room in them. I am fond of the elastic in the waist as I won't have to worry about plumbers crack when moving around or hiking them up all the time. The length on them is good, but I will say that they do go up a bit high on the waist. These are high waisted pants.

Belt:
Lord, the belt is terrible. The belt is opened by pressing the front of the "buckle" on the right-hand side (if you're looking down at it, the side that doesn't get removed). I would recommend NOT using it.

Pockets:
Yep, they're everywhere. Ther is only ONE (1) back pocket, not sure how important those are to you. Two normal pockets that zip up. I don't know how well they will fit my phone (Note 8). I broke my phone case and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow so I don't know how well it will work. Even if you're worried about something falling out of your pockets, don't... they all zip up!

Zippers:
So, these pants convert into shorts. The zipper on the legs will be covered by a flap of fabric and doesn't seem too uncomfortable to me. The zipper falls below my knee so I don't anticipate them digging in if/when I sit while they're shorts.

Noise:
Yeah... they make noise when you walk. It's gonna happen. Sounds like you're pumpin' your arms real fast while wearing one of those old-school windbreakers. But seriously, don't let this deter you. If you're having fun and hiking, who cares how much noise your pants make!

The material on these is nice, there are pockets everywhere, zippers are smooth, style is cute. Zippers have easy pull tabs on them. Waist clasp is a hook, but looks like a snap. Strap belt has easy clip. Waist is a little loose which I love because I can adjust with the belt and it's not digging into my sides. Did I mention there are pockets everywhere! One on the butt, two on the front and one on each leg. And they all zip shut! They pockets are all interior so they won't hold large objects or quantities, but their design adds to the sleek style.
I bought the wrong size so I'm returning without long term wear so no comments on durability.
I'm 5'4" 155lb. My hip measures 41". Size medium fit snugly on my rump (very sexy) but it was too tight in the thigh (my thighs are a little thick). If I had bought a size large I think everything would have fit great. And the return on these is proving super easy.

These pants are frankly amazing for the price. They are very comfortable. There are lots of pockets. I am 117 and 5’3” and the xs are prefect. When you zip of the bottoms the shorts are below the knee. The waist fits me great so I don’t need the belt but it is nice. I removed all the bright yellow zipper pulls bc they were anboxious. They are light weight, quick drying and looser fitting through the leg, more snug on my bum.

Love these pants so much. Exactly what I was looking for. Thin (but strong), water resistant material for hiking. Cut straight enough to wear thermals under in cold weather, but comfortable and breezy without in warm weather. They do “swish” as you walk, but it’s not annoying or even noticeable. If you’re on trail, crunching on leaves and listening to the birds and river, you won’t hear it at all. If you're thinking Frogg Togg noise, this is wayyy quieter.

Yes, the sizing is weird, so I’m adding to the crowdsourced pot of sizing to help ya figure it out. An important piece to note: these pants are HIGH WAISTED. Like cover the belly button high waisted. ABOVE the belly button high waisted. The sizing is WAIST size, NOT hip size. Make sure to measure your natural waist. They are pretty straight cut until your hips, fan out a little bit there, and then TAPER back IN towards your waist (at least in the smaller sizes. Don’t know about large sizes).

In my case, I am 5’4.5” and 125lbs. I am not much a curvy person. Relatively fit frame, but not “lean” (abs) fit. I measured my natural waist roughly about 26-28, so I purchased the size 27. They fit, but loosely. The belt helps. Honestly I love the way I look in them, but I do think that if I purchased again I would get a 26, just to pull them in a little more (I usually wear skinny jeans in reg life). If you think I am your body type, I’d get the 26, or 27 if you like more loose cuts.

I don’t normally do reviews, but I fricken love these pants! They make your figure look great but do not sacrifice comfort, and they’re not at all expensive! Hiking in these pants are perfect! People have commented on the noise, but you’ll hardly notice it. Buying a second pair!!!

I ordered a L and a M size of these because I was unsure which would fit me best. I am 5'8", 155lbs, usually wear about a size 10 pant. 40" hips/butt, ~30" waist last I checked (which was a while ago...). I am glad I ordered the M, because that fits perfectly. The L also fit comfortably, but since I use them for hiking in south Florida, I thought the extra roominess would translate to chaffing once I got hot and sweaty. The belt these pants come with is a nice touch, and I love the zip-off length. They hit mid to below the knee on me. They're perfect for zipping off when I return from a wet, muddy hike, and because the zipper is around the knee, it doesn't feel or look awkward, like some women's zip-offs do.
There is one zip up back pocket (right side), and the 4 other pockets all zip.
Should also mention - my 6'2", 32x34 brother actually ended up taking the size L that I ordered. They looked like they could be a little bigger in the waist for him, but he liked them and said they felt like they fit fine. Between the elastic waist and the included belt, these are pretty forgiving size-wise, if you're unsure which size to order.
