I’m 5’6, weigh 145 and typically wear a size 8 pant. I ordered a medium in pink. I LOVE the color. The pockets are functional. The reason for the four stars is that they seem to be odd fitting along the hips/stomach. It’s more high waisted. I will just fold the top portion down but it should be fine for a shrimp boat. I’m not sure about waterproof but I’ll update you once i try.

UODATE: i work on a shrimp boat. It was 50 degrees this morning, and I was around water all morning. These pants ARE waterproof! They also kept me warm. I highly recommend these if you’re wanting to stay warm and protect from rain/water.

December 8, 2020 update : STILL going strong. I’ve washed and dried these pants and they are amazing. The still keep me completely dry on the boat.

The pants were excellent. Plenty of pockets and great material.

They didn’t fit right and needed to be returned. I was not happy having to pay for the return shipping. One third the cost of the pants.

I bought these pants looking for something inexpensive that would keep me dry in the rain and also breathe so I wouldn’t sweat too much. Although it said they were breathable, they absolutely are not. The are the opposite of breathable. They reminded me of those plastic pants people used to wear in the 90s when working out to increase sweat. My legs felt so hot and sticky and gross and it wasn’t much more than about 50 degrees when I wore them hiking. I would not recommend this if you are looking for a rain pant that breathes.

Nice rain pant. They seem to run a little small. I’m a true size medium and they are tight in the hips.

This pants does a good job as rain protection. I wore it on a three day canoeing trip. It does have a plastic-like feel to it but that didn’t bother me. The most awkward thing about the pants is the pockets. I kept wanting to put my hands in the pockets but couldn’t. I just used it to hold odds and ends while canoeing or camping but they were also placed on a weird location that you don’t normally reach for to put things so it felt unnatural. I would definitely buy this pants again, just for it’s function and price point.

I am 5'3/4", weight 127 pounds and wear size 8 petite. I've been searching a LONG time to replace my old REI petite rain pants; which are about 1-2" long but doable with the velcro straps on the bottom. Unfortunately, they are beginning to drag because they are old and worn out. The adjustments I needed to do on these waterproof shells include shortening them by 4" so that they won't drag on the wet grass when I play golf. They DO have pockets (3 deep ones) which are needed to put things in while playing golf. They are a little loose around the waist but I can put a belt on to tighten them up. I would have preferred a elastic waist band. They do fit well over a regular pair of pants which I often do before the rain comes down and then I need to put the rain gear over my pants. Like all other rain gear; they do make noise when you walk; but not a big deal. (I walk and carry my golf clubs and it doesn't bother me at all. One reviewer stated that they were not recommended for golf because they are "plastic" like; but I don't think it will be an issue). I hope they will work out after I get it altered!

I ordered these in a medium, which is my normal size in women's pants (I'm an 8/10.) They fit fine in the hips and legs but were HUGE in the waist - and the only way to tighten the waist is a funky belt that doesn't work worth a darn. I had to have my husband hold the belt against the back of my pants while I cinched it. As a result, I looked like I was wearing a potato bag and I wasn't confident that the belt would stay put. Since I have ample hips, I'm afraid to size down. I returned and will keep looking.

They are definitely waterproof and very nice with all the pockets. That said, they are not breathable. My legs sweat so much I might as well let the rain hit them.
