I have this borderline-hypochondria thing going on with my cold feet. I insist it's my circulation, but nobody who actually knows what they're talking about - e.g. nobody with an M.D. or Ph. D. after their name - seems to agree. I've tried wearing multiple pairs of socks, silk socks, thick socks, over-the-knee socks, leggings with socks, long pants (people laugh because for the longest time my favorite ones were snow pants), thermals... I've tried so-called high-tech hiking and outdoor "performance" socks... I even put a little space heater next to my desk and tilt it down against the legs of my chair so it's blowing the hot air underneath my desk, 2 inches away from my feet. I slip into furry slippers as habitually as most people breathe air, and I constantly massage my feet against each other hoping for some sign of tingly circulation. About a year ago after walking a few blocks from a hotel to a restaurant with thick double-layer socks and fleece-lined tall boots, I finally realized that I really couldn't spend any time outside anymore - this was terrible for a winter person, a snow-shoer, x-c skier, ice skater, snowboarder - but the pain of having useless ice-like bricks dangling from my legs after 5 minutes of cold air had finally beaten me.

Then these Fox River socks came along, and my feet are like a whole new person. And before you think I'm just being dramatic, consider this:
    - its thickness is plush and practically feels almost bouncy
    - its stretchiness moves with you and provides a little bit of, I don't know, "compression" comfort
    - whatever material it is, or whatever knit it uses, has some sort of texture that actually *feels* like it's providing that tingle sensation of circulation!
    - sometimes... I almost forget to wear slippers. That's how comfortable and warm they are.

No, they didn't cure me. I still have my terrible cold feet issue when I'm not wearing them. But when I am, which--now that I've gone back and purchased several more pairs--is almost all the time, I can almost fool myself into thinking I ever had a problem. And that, for this (slightly) hypchondriac, is the real miracle.

These are my first pair of wool sox that are not itchy! I have a broken foot so I needed a good cushioned knee high to wear with my boot. I also have fibromyalgia with very sensitive skin. These are the softest socks I've ever had. They beat out my bamboo socks. I'm 5'8" with average size calves. These go right below my knee. They will not bunch up in the crease behind my knee. These feel secure, will not fall down and not cutting off circulation. Cushion starts at toes and is continuous to just below mid calf. Very defined toe area with room. Very defined heel area. I could wear these all day. I may not want to take them off! Ordering more.

Very cushioned and warm! Nice soft material. Not cold enough here in Chicago for me to properly test it (please, i ain't jinxing! :P) Well cushioned but a tad tight on my calves (16 in). For reference i am a shoe size 10. Fit well overall..

Can a person fall in love with socks? If so, I've fallen in love! I bought these postpartum, as i was constantly feeling cold. The socks go straight up to right below the knee and are so soft and comfortable. I have larger calves (no regular boots for me!) but the band fit snugly, and have I mentioned they're so comfortable?? I've washed them according to manufacturer instructions, and my husband has washed them according to husband instructions, and there have been no issues!

So for the price this was an okay deal, I like a good knee high sock, definitely a mid thickness and not too bad. The issues for me were that my feet are still frozen and moisture is getting in which completely defeats the socks purpose and why I bought them in the first place. Also, the size they were supposed to be seems a little off and on the larger side so that were the heel is supposed to be is not were your heel will sit properly. So all in all, could be better, not great but better than some out there.

They are warmer than average winter socks, but they don't wash well (I used cold water), the get pill-y after putting in dryer and get tighter each time I wash them. They look years old after only washing them a few times. They are so tight now (they did fit over my calves fine in the beginning) that I can't roll them up all the way, I have to fold them down. I am returning them. I gave them 2 stars because they are warmer, but my feet did sweat, too, after wearing them all day. And I normally don't sweat a lot so I guess they do retain the heat.

These are wonderfully thick cushioned socks in a wonderful color. I'm a short gal BUT I'm not petite. I have calves of about 15 inches. These socks are soooo tight on my legs. I'm short and they don't pull up to the knee (as in knee high socks). They are more like an extended crew sock. Not going to keep these. Will return and get some other kind that will come all the way up to my knees without cutting off my circulation. Geez.

I live in NY where everyone where’s UGG boots for months out of the year. I needed a pair of socks that were warm and most importantly stayed up as the fur in the UGG boots pulls the sock down in most cases. I bought one pair to try and within the week I was ordering another pair! They are warm, stylish, stay up, and go with pretty much anything I wear. I love them!

These socks are really nice and densely-packed, and they've so far kept my feet nice and warm (although I haven't got to try them in really cold weather yet). They feel really well made. I just got them so I can't comment on durability yet, but they feel like they'll hold up pretty good. The reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is that they don't actually go up to my knees. I'm really short, only 4'10", and these come most of the way up my calves but not all the way up. So on a normal-sized person these would be considered mid-calf socks, not knee socks. I think someone has tried them on before the washing process but not after washing when there would be shrinkage, and that's why they're classed as knee socks.

I've had these socks for a few months now, and they're still great. I love the densely-packed pile that doesn't shed lint or get stuck on my toes. They keep my feet pretty warm, although in REALLY cold weather I wear 2 pairs because I get cold easily. I got a large pair too and those go all the way up my calf. I think the trick is that if you have wider calves like mine then go up a size and they'll fit great.

I bought these for a Christmas gift for a friend. We see temperatures hovering at -30F/C during our winters and she found them lightweight yet warm. As she walks about 10 city blocks to and from work everyday, she gave these socks a good workout this past winter. She appreciated the lightweight factor as they fit easily in her winter boots.

Although I am not a fan of thick socks,
They sadly are thick so I can't wear them in my boots but I do wear them when I get cold feet for just around the house so they offer great warmth and cushioning.

Soft and long to the knee

these socks are the truth! never have I ever had socks so warm! and much needed with this Toronto weather we're having this winter! highly recommend. thank u!
