LOVE LOVE LOVE! 10 stakes, total approximate length is 12 inches. Diameter of hole on top on cross bar is approximate 11 mm. Diameter of actual stake is approximately 8 mm. Tip of stake to cross bar is approximately 11 inches. My stakes are black coated. BONUS: mine came with rope which I wasn't expecting. I bought these stakes for my holiday inflatables. Last year I broke all but one of the plastic stakes that came with our inflatable dragon and needed to find replacements. These stakes did the job perfectly. They were super easy to use. Long and heavy enough where they ropes did not pull them out of the soft ground when installing. Easy to remove from the frozen snowy yard a month later. NO RUST from being outside in the ground for a month. I would definitely recommend these stakes. |
Bought these on a whim...mostly because I'm a sucker for camping gear, especially when it's not that expensive. But we were heading out on a trip to Guadalupe Mountains National Park in far West Texas, and the area is known for high winds, so I thought an $18 impulse buy could very easily be disguised as peace of mind. Boy were we glad we bought these. |
These are indestructible. Most tent nails have a plastic cross beam that can get broken or fall off and lost. This is welded together as part of the nail. These work out to be about the same price per nail as the standard ones from |
These are excellent tent stakes for those looking to replace or upgrade stakes provided by any manufacturer that maybe small, plastic, or pure garbage. These stakes are solid, long, have a great sharpened point to penetrate hard ground, and definitely heavy duty. I initially bought one pack a year ago and loved them so much I just bought another for backup because they work so well. I use them for staking down the EZ-Up, CLAM tent, Kodiak tent, and target practice stands for to ensure they keep my equipment secure during all types of weather. They have kept my equipment secure during wind gusts unto 45 mph. I probably won't need to buy any more but would definitely recommend these to anybody looking to upgrade or replace. |
Very heavy duty tent stakes. If you need to stake out a tent or canopy in high winds these are the perfect stakes for the job. I used a regular hammer to drive these in flush to the ground. Tent didn't budge. Used hammer to remove stakes...inspected the stakes after they came out of the ground and none of them were bent or damaged. Note the product weight...these are not ideal for backpackers or through hikers. |
It's inevitable that stakes get lost and there are always more uses than one realizes, so a supply of stakes needs regular replenishment. Frustratingly enough, once having found a favorite stake doesn't mean it will be available in the future. I use stakes for field-deployments, hunting camp, canvass tents, shelters both improvised and planed, antenna structures, and a lot of other ad-hoc needs. So having a well designed, heavy-duty stake that is adaptable to many uses is crucial. These stakes fit that bill. Just remember to buy one more set than you think you'll need! |
These things take the biggest headache with setting up a tent and destroy it! They are amazing, they go in with no issues and stay very secure in just about any ground condition. I will say removing them was a bit tough until I started hitting them back and fourth to open up the hole they were in and then they came out with no issues. Once I removed them you can see on some that cut right through rocks and roots because of the big point on the end. If you go tenting, buy these, you will not regret it! |
Thanks for the follow-up, Jessica. Let me get to it! My first impression of the stakes was heavy but sturdy and good welds. I collect fossils here in KY and much of my tenting is on limestone flats requiring rugged stakes that can hold in this sedimentary jumble. My tent only requires 5 pegs and the long welded pegs, though heavy, were a great trade-off for the longevity! My gratitude for the great product. |
Definetly nice :) i hope they hold up this summer while im camping |
