When nature doesn't play nice, fight back with the most flexible and complete tarp set up . Made of 210D oxford ripstop polyester fabricthat, providing excellent water protection. Make your camping trip more comfortable.
6" Corner strap with grommet and loop on end
double sewn for added strength.
It can be a good hammock cover, tent groundcover, ground sheet, canopy for shade or sudden downpours, water. Great for backpacking, hiking, camping, bike packing, boating, picnics or on the beach .
The 106 X 82" tarp is a perfect fit for the Coleman 4-person Sundome tent (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078F6988L/ref=asin_title?), or any 9X7 tent that does not come with a footprint of its own. The grommets/tabs line up perfectly and you can use the same stake for the corners of both this tarp and the tent. It comes in its own sack, which can be squeezed into the tent bag. Don't be alarmed if the tarp doesn't extend out beyond the tent's floor; a tent ground cloth isn't supposed to. Most campers make the mistake of using a tarp that's larger than their tent, but doing so just invites pooling of water around your tent. Ask a backpacker about tent footprints. No camper could be more motivated to avoid problems than a backpacker.
I honestly wasn't expecting much purchasing this tarp but was pleasantly surprised. The tarp seems to be of decent quality and water beads up very nicely when I threw a bucket of water on it. I'm using this as a tarp shelter instead of a tent footprint so it is important that it is water resistant. There are only grommets in the corners of the tarp and I would have liked to have grommets between the corners along the edges, but I remedied that by putting in my own grommets. I only set it up in my yard and have yet to try it out in adverse conditions but based on this test run I think it will perform well.
I was looking for something lighter than a tarp, mainly as a footprint and found it very practical for many uses beyond that. The extended corner loops work great for tie-downs and I was able to rinse off and fold it back into it's sack for the next time. I may want to order another one of different size as well as the price is right.
I needed something as a ground cloth for my tarp camping, and this fit the bill perfectly.
So I have a Colman two room tent from the 80s that I keep patching together to keep it going.
I purchased this item and used it at a campsite while testing all my gear before i hit the road on a long adventure. I figured it would be best to use a footprint to protect my tent since it is one of them ultralite/lite option tents with the ripstop silnylon floors.
These guys are really smart about their ground sheet. While every other ground sheet I've tried is the exact dimensions of my tent, this one's made just the slightest bits smaller in each direction to make it fit perfect without any overhang. The corner loops are just slightly longer than the tents so they line up perfectly with a single set of steaks as well. The material is thin but feels rugged and it packs up easily into either a tiny bag or I can just wrap it with the tent and it doesn't take up any extra space at all... Its perfect, it's like the guys who made it actually go camping for once.
I secure the tarp down with adjustable bungee cords over my on extended cab doors on my truck. Works as a great shelter from the elements when gearing up to go fishing or snowboarding.
