Great price works great if you only need to keep personal beverages cold for short trips. Oh, I read reviews that some had issues with the lid staying open. My son, the rocket scientist, suggested I use the handle to prop open the lid :-)

This cooler became a legend this weekend. I was on a river float trip, a few inner tubes hooked together with a cooler on its own float. Early on we got tangled on a branch, the cooler flips out of the float and takes off down the river while we're still stuck. I get myself free from the group, and paddle furiously until I accidentally pass it, then have to wait for it to catch me. About a 5 minute endeavor. As my friends catch up, we reconnect our floats and open the cooler to check the damage. It had stayed upright the entire time it was floating away in the river. Everything was still in order inside. It never took on water. Our dry goods sitting on top of the drinks were still dry. This may seem like a run of the mill cooler, but to me it's the super cooler that saved the beer and sandwiches.

I'm not a fan of the way the handle connects (falls off after a while, hard to fix, and then it becomes useless. But the size and shape is perfect for what we need so we keep buying them and trying to get them to last as long as possible. The old style used to have handles that screwed in and those lasted! But those are no longer available...

Wrapped it with a pallet wood and carved a design on it. The cooler is a great value!

Worthless for keeping foods cold. Its like a storage bin for food. You could keep drinks cool for a 3 hours in your backyard but if you plan to keep meats or anything that needs to stay cold, its worthless.
After putting the ice packs, the bottom outside of the cooler was icy cold, as in it was not insulating at all. After a day inside a cold house, all the gel pacs melted and are liquid.

My husband needed something to take on his 12 hour shifts at work. Needed to be big enough to sit on if needed, needed to be able to carry with one hand and fit through the doorway to a train cab, very narrow! This workes perfect and does a great job keeping things cold

Fantastic cooler! Great for long trips. We traveled with ice cream in the car for 5 plus hours and it was nice and cold. The ice cream was pre hard child in a deep freezer but i think if you wanted to do the same just pack more ice packs or fewer as we did but you could turn your freezer down lower for as long as you can to mimic deep freezing the ice cream. We traveled with 4/5 ice packs 3 quarts of ice cream 1 pint ice cream, 3 large sand whiches, other refrigerated food, i believe a water bottle or two and it was packed. Its best to pack it full I imagine to keep things cold. When in doubt add another ice pack as they are like a dollar at the dollar store.

The size was great for carrying all of that for our prior trip. I think it would be enough room for multiple people for sure. For the beach id get one similar with wheels which they have. It would easily feed 4+ very hungry and drink heavy people all day if it can handel the heat.

It will still reasonably well fit in the suv imo. Packing recommendations put towels and beach stuff on the way down/back to save room in the car!

The knobs that hold the handle on are deformed, in fact they look like they are "melted", They are unable to perform their function of holding the handle in place. In fact even if they were in good shape I doubt they would hold the handle in place. It's already fallen off and I can't get it to stay on. Very disappointed with Coleman and this product. The only recommendation I can give is to stay away from it.

Had Coleman Cooler similar but after 25+yrs lid fastener, then handle fastener broke☹️
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ new one still is made with cross-bar handle, love this feature! Only, more securely attached lid won’t stay open while filling. Fortunately, discovered cross-bar wedged inside against lid helps keep open while filling
