If you buy this item - please be careful with it - it is exactly as advertised - a 1500 watt electric element - it has no temperature control or shut off - once plugged in it will energize the coil and stay on. I used this element as an emergency heating element for a 2000 litre hot tub - in 24 hours this element was able to heat 2000 litres of water from 50 F to 99 F. I purchased this to prevent my tub from freezing while waiting for repair parts - it heated the hot tub almost 2 deg F per hour with an outside air temperature of 30 F / -1 C. It worked amazing for this application. It ran for 24 hours with no issues - power cable and connections all good after the 24 hours of continuous use.
Bought this for my cottage. We drain the water in the winter but still enjoy going as much as possible. We used to heat water on stove top and wood stove. Used the heater several times. Can heat a 20L pale (5 gallons) in 15 to 20 minutes. Worth every penny, wish I would have bought one of these years ago.
this element works great, super fast, heated a five gallon pail of water in 15 minutes, we use it in the winter to warm water in sauna for washing up, we ended up purchasing another one just to have on hand, 45 bucks
Used it when we had power issues. Kept the hot tub warm in Canadian winters for a couple weeks on a 15 amp circuit. Just doesn’t shut off on it’s own so keep an eye on it.
I have had no issues with this product, it works and heats the water up fast. Make sure you read the instructions before using.
I ordered this to "attempt" to heat a 10x10 foot above ground pool. Yes, this was an absolute long shot, but I was interested in raising it in all possible ways, solar wasnt working too well. Anyhow, does not work at all for that, I could barely imagine it boiling a bucket of water honestly.
Works, not enough weight to keep it floating upright. It floats on an angle sideways.
I was trying to heat a hose filled, small children's plastic pool outside with this heater. It was plugged in and in water for about 20 minutes. During this time, I unplugged and checked water temperature a couple of times. It seemed to do nothing. Light was ON on the device and it was giving out bubbles, indicating that it worked. However, it did not heat up water for me fast enough.
Works like it ahould, bought it for my fish tank decor that needs to be boiled works excellent...
Good for my olds spa .......dont need to spend ..a500$ repair
Will use as preliminary heater of spa water
didn't work, returned it
Insufficient heating capability to heat an 8 ft diameter, 26 in high above ground kiddie pool.
It’s awesome. Works really good. I love it. I’ve been using for a bucket. Takes 10-15 min. Gotta stir water or only top water will b hot n bottle part cold
It heats pretty well ..can heat a 20 litre bucket of 59F water to 100F in 20 minutes
