I hiked the blue mountains in Jamaica with these boots. They provided great comfort, ankle support, and toe box space for swelling of feet. I usually have arch pain after walking an hour but these provided arch support for 4hrs. Hike took a total of 9.5hrs and was a total of 16miles long with altitude 7,600 to give you an idea of intensity. I wasn’t able to break the shoes in before the trip but there was no need to do so! This Keen model was my favorite (I’ve tried others which were too stiff). I also recommend getting a half size bigger and getting good hiking socks.

These have turned out to be my favorite footwear. They are very warm and waterproof, and have good grip on all terrains when hiking. Another reviewer mentioned not having to break them in - not exactly true for me, but VERY glad I purchased them. I have added a little insert for additional arch support to my individual needs. I wear these every chance I get!

Ordered 2 pairs of the Keen Targhee. Many reviews stated shoes ran small so I ordered my usual size 7 and also 7.5. I tried the 7 first and they fit great. No problem feeling to short or snug. Typical in shoes I opt for wide width and I found no problem with these boots. I purchased these for snow more than rain and needed a good boot for winter in New England. I did opt for just over ankle boot because I'm looking for something to go from car into work, running errands or small ammt's of snow. I haven't tried these in the elements yet. Thankfully we haven't had snow yet this year (currently mid October here in Mass)

Fit is wonderful, even for my deformed feet. Enough room in the toe area to accommodate my toe that sticks up from a poor surgery and hammer toes. Enough room to wear foam arch supports and wool socks, also warm for my cold feet. Thank you Keen and Amazon!

Ordered 1/2 size larger than I normally wear and they fit perfect with thicker, cushioned hiking socks. Hiked for 7 miles to break them in. During the first 4 miles they rubbed just a bit at the ankle but after that they stopped. Great traction. I should note that I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and these provided the arch support that I needed.

I’m never disappointed with Keens. From sandals to hiking boots, the fit is consistent no matter the style. My heal has a tendency to move but by learning to use my shoelaces to adjust that fit, my foot is secure and comfortable. These new Targhee ll are replacing my old, worn out, well used and loved, pair of keen hiking boots.

OMG! I love these so much . They fit perfect and look great . Dark grey / lime green laces , solid design .
