The Boker A-F Rubber Training Knife is a highly valuable instructional aid. The rubber is strong enough to hold its shape during most training exercises, but pliable and soft enough to bend when pressed. This means that it can be used to simulate knife attacks without risk of injury to either party. Plus, its sides can be chalked to determine points of contact for scoring purposes. This product ships as a pack of 2 training knives. Each knife is 11-⅜ in. long with a 6-½ in. blade. Although this product is safe for use in controlled environments, participants in training exercises should be careful when using this near the eyes and throat. Limited lifetime warranty. A chestnut tree is the world famous trademark of the Boker knife manufactory in Solingen, Germany. It represents innovative, high quality, exceptional knives, manufactured with pride, by hand, for over 145 years.

Not crazy about black for training purposes. I often train in places where people will see like parks and I don't want them thinking a real knife fight might be happening even for a moment. Especially around kids.
I've been training hard enough to get my arms and chest bruised up once in awhile and so I need a slightly softer knife than this. It's a close second to the one I have linked below. We train hard and full speed in a sparring manner and we target the fingers and hands mostly. If you are doing slowed down drills then it doesn't matter how hard your trainer knife is. If you want to train like my trainer and I, you want this knife. --->

<--- It's extremely soft.

Hope this is helpful. Cheers!

These are a great option for someone who is training in a self defense program. I purchased these for my students. I utilize these constantly when teaching my lvl 2 Krav Maga Classes.

Knives are durable and hold up well. They are rubber which is a good thing FYI for all the keyboard warriors. My viewpoint as a self defense instructor is to teach and train students in progression when dealing with knife attack response and knife threat responses. Using the rubber knives gives them a physical training blade that is going to make them have the feeling of getting cut or stabbed with not a harsh consequence (but the consequence is still there since they still feel the blade to a certain extent). As they progress we move on to hard plastic trainers/metal trainers and eventually shock knives.

Great tool for teaching and practice. It also works nicely as a stress reliever. We'll be sitting there watching Netflix and before you know it theres a rubber knife in your ribs... what you gonna do??? nothing... bc you're ded. When you re-spawn, maybe you'll practice situational awareness some more.

These are very sturdy, not like the rubber ones. But be careful when training because these actually don't give either so they can really bruise you up. But if you have been in it long enough that's not a big deal, it also helps you to try harder to avoid the knife, which is the goal of training.

These knives are realistic and feel good in the hand when training. However, it is important to remember that this is a hard-rubber knife. It does hurt if you jab and stab at your training partner with force. Train responsibly and be careful not to hurt your partner. These are perfect for professional purchases and for personal training use.

The Boker A-F training knife is, in my opinion, the best one that I have seen. I have used them for over twenty years as both a student and instructor in martial arts. It has just the right degree of stiffness for safe realistic training. Other training knives that I have seen are either too soft to simulate a real knife or too hard for safe training. The Boker A-F also has the advantage of having wide flat edges on which colored chalk can be applied to tell if a training partner would have been cut by an actual knife.

Dagger training is one of my biggest thing. These do the trick. Not overly soft like some manufacturers and not too rigid that they'd cause legitimate damage training with them. They will bend, but rather that puncturing. They are completely safe. The replication of the handles is the best bit, but don't think you'll get the weight of an actual Applegate. But good for practising drills.

I got theses to train for krav maga and karate, these are perfect. The weight is like a real knife little more weight in the handle like a real one would be. You could put chalk on the " blade" to see how bad you are at dogeing if you want.

Excellent training aid, the wide blade gives a realistic feedback when making cuts but bends nicely and safely for your training partner. The grip is correct for both offensive ( saber grip) and defencive (ice pick grip) . Easy to chalk and will make you a fan of the fairbain designed knives if your not already, for full on training this is the only training aid I would recommend. Richard L

REALMENTE ME DEJO ANONADADO

I really love the grip style on this knife, and the blade is strong and yet flexible. Given the price includes a pair of knives, this really can't be beat. Cold Steel trainers are rigid, making them better for disarming drills (since if the blade flexes mid-disarm, that produces unrealistic behavior), but if you're actually going to be jabbing at another person in a free-fighting scenario, this kind of training knife is what you should be looking into.

Very good training tool, happy with the quality and made in the USA

Just flexible enough to give a bit when sparring but strong enough to be effective. Excellent tool.

My grandson was excited to receive these practice knives. Fast delivery

glad i found these training knives. practicing selfdefense, film fighting, martial arts just got more fun since they are made of hard rubber with no sharp edges or blade. great balance, comfortable grip.
thanks Boker for great product!

Great training knives.

ESTOS SON EXCELENTES PARA ENTRENAR COMBATE CON CUCHILLOS. LA PUNTA ES FLEXIBLE Y NO LASTIMAS A LA VICTIMA :)

Great for training martial arts

Decent training knife for private training or seminars.
