Toss your flimsy gas station lighters in the garbage where they belong, and make way for the flameless innovation that is the TG Plasma Lighter. “A flameless lighter? Not possible,” non-believers will say. We can assure you it is. And no, it’s not devil’s magic, it’s just plain science. This handy tool uses an electric dual-arc to set flammable objects ablaze better than any other. Unlike flames that easily blow out, this technology allows it to operate despite harsh winds and heavy rain. A durable waterproof casing adds to its ability to withstand adverse weather. With one full charge via the included USB cable, you’re set for 300 uses. So, charge it up and incorporate it into your EDC. Whether you’re on a smoke break, or braving the great outdoors, the TG Plasma Lighter will prove itself indispensable.

Plasma lighter is really cool however it is extremely hard to light a candle or anything else at an angle. You’d have to light a match or a small stick first.

Broke after a month. Light still works but won’t stay closed

These things are amazing! I bought two of them, one as part of my EDC, and one for my get-home bag for the car. Instantly ignited anything between the diodes when you push the button. Waterproof when closed, wind proof when open. Charges in about two hours, give or take. I don’t know how long it will last on one charge.

One thing to note- when you plan on igniting something, do so quickly and efficiently. When you hold down the button for a short while, the entire unit gets rather warm from the energy transfer. Best to be very particular with your usage.

Pairs well with a solar charger. Normal lighters run out of fuel eventually, and having a free and easy way to sustain these is a major benefit of their rechargeable design.

The lid latches tightly, and the hinge that attached above the release button holds very well. You shouldn’t have to worry about this coming undone and igniting your shorts any time soon.

Works beautifully, functionally, and is small enough to be added to any every day carry or survival kit.

Exactly what I wanted. Every backpacker or anyone who might get stuck in the woods should carry one of these. Works as described. I haven’t had to charge mine yet despite playing around a lot with it.

Great for smoking with and wicked cool purple flame. Not too great to light fires with. Ok to use to fuse par cord . Need to keep electrodes clean but they are durable. Have left it in the rain and the water resistance proved to work great. Holds charge several days . Well if you can keep from playing with it . Have had some people say it emits a high pitch that is unplesent to them . You can hear it but doesent bother me at all. Good buy in my book

I got this for my husband for Christmas. He hasn’t put it down! He’s walking around the house looking for things to light. Difficult to light candles in a jar due to the lid only opening so far but still a good quality plasma lighter

Since the seller where I purchased the first two units on their own site came here to find the item is $8.00 cheaper on their Amazon store. I don't smoke but most of my friends and acquaintances do. Enough so their Zip lighters are out of fuel, I always carry a charger with me for my phone which can charge this too. Light easy to start and isn't affected by wind. Haven't tried it in the rain. Not that great for lighting backpacking stoves but would work in a pinch. Just wish friends would buy their own rather than take mine.

If I ever have to use this lighter for what I bought it for, I have made MANY bad decisions. Wouldn’t consider myself a survivalist, just a guy that enjoys to be prepared. Before this, I was carrying an original zippo but tossed that to the sideline after the zippos proving very unreliable when you need them the most. I’ve got to say, I usually like to keep it simple but this lighter is awesome! I was very skeptical at first but after lighting bonfires, twigs, papers and everything else around the house on fire, I can attest that this is a much better survival option if matched up between the original zippo. Used it for well over 100 lights and and still haven’t had to recharge it once. Plus it is pretty cool to pull this out when someone asks for a light. Great conversation starter.
