I am using this Grappling Hook for a purpose other than what it is intended. I have some hedges and other bushes that needed to be ripped out of my yard. I was using my Jeep to pull them out but my rope would just slip off these low crawly bushes. So I ordered this grappling hook to thread through the bushes and then pulled again with my Jeep. The grappling hook locked on and I was able to pull these bushes from the ground. I love this tool!!!!!!!
I purchased this hook for Magnet Fishing. After looking and reading many many reviews, I choose this because of the fact that it folds down after use. You open And close it by turning the long shaft. This has 4 claws that are not sharp but could definitely put out an eye or cause some body damage if not used correctly. I highly recommend this product, glad I chose It!
Great piece of gear. Bought for expeditions, but used around the homestead for pulling deadwood limbs down and for accessing tree forks for climbingI have found nothing about this grappling hook that I don't like. The only thing I might change is to make the eye at the end of the shaft slightly larger so that it can accept tree rope (1/2" dia) a little easier. We just used a carabiner between the rope and the hook and that solved the problem.
In haven’t tested this grapple hook, but I have inspected it in my hands. So far it looks and feels like it could handle quite a bit of abuse. It’s great looking unit. The price seems just right at around $40.
This is a fine, light to medium weight hook. Great for suspending camping gear and even dragging dead branches from a tree. I wouldn't use it to pull a body up and swing by, but is fine to help traverse a difficult uphill climb.
Good size , good price , fast shipping.
Got the job done
My brother and I Manet Fish and this grapple has changed the game for us. Not only does it help clear the are to throw magnets but we have pulled up duffle bags and portions of motorcycles. I hope I do not lose it but if I do I’m definitely buying another.
This is very well made, I’m going to purchase a second one
